VERSION 3.1.68+ BUG THREAD
This is the first drop which the mod is playable end to end.
There still is a lot of work to do (see the change notes for more info)
I expect another half dozen updates before we graduate to beta.

- Post any bug reports here
- Let me know where you find various "DEBUG" statements
- Let me know if you find any missing / placeholder conversations

I will be playing through on my own as well, so I should find them as well... But there are a lot of options and choices so you may encounter something I miss.

-Locked in "Neutral Turn" in encounters where a new enemy joins. Sometimes when i walk around tenth street i will kill a hitman and it will get locked in neautral after everyone dies

Joy... One of those errors we keep fixing, which keeps coming back!
At least I think I know where to look to fix that (again)

Yep this is happening to me as well. Always right around the first train station by the office where you get the apartment key. Think is has something to do with eliminating enemies with so many neutral toons walking around.

Just finished Dark Blade. Encountering some issues with hired runners. The first runners I hired were Norbert and Anders, just before running through Rust Stilettos. No problems until I was done and headed to the club where Kitsune is on stage. I got a message that Anders left just before entering. While inside, I hired Kitsune and Splatter. When I left the club, Kitsune and Norbert were present, but no Splatter. Headed toward Docks. First transition where you pop up by Drake Tower, Splatter appeared. Then after transition to Docks, he disappeared again, but his card was in the combat tracker with a skull and crossbones on it as if he had died. Did not appear on screen again until I got into sewers to kill Rat Shaman. All 4 were present for that area. Killed Rat Shaman, Kitsune said she was going to stick around, left sewers, and both Splatter and Norbert left. Kitsune remained as I went back to 10th Street to get deck upgrades. Upon leaving the Glutman building, she dissappeared. Has not come back, not eligible for rehire through convo at club.

Thanks for the thorough report! I knew there were issues around hirelings but it sounds like there are more than I thought :(

You are definitely reaching the point where I expect more bugs to show up... Drake Tower+ is where it is less tested.

Not a big deal, but I just bought rank 9 in Body, and my HP will not go above 120/123.

Also, I cannot get the skins to change costume back from Drake Tower changes

That should be an easy fix... they stay in the uniforms or stay in the scientist clothing or both?

They stay in the dark uniforms. To clarify, I only went to floor 4 and then turned around and left to do Bremmerton. I was just testing it out to see what bugs there might be.

One other thing I have noticed, which is a problem also with both Shadorun Returns and Dragonfall, is that maxed out Rifle skill is waaaaaaaaaaay OP. Like, it is literally a purely aesthetic choice to focus in anything else. Not sure why that is. I have maxed out other toons in all the other guns, throwing, magic, close combat, and drones, and the only thing that comes close is drones only because of how many pets you can toss on the screen at one time. But Rifle still beats it by a long shot (no pun intended).

Okay so I have played around with the hirelings and I have noticed a pattern. I did this with Kitsune and Norbert. Kitsune generally sticks around through most zones. If she does dissappear, I can get her to come back by hiring another runner. Norbert dissappears when I enter buildings (except for the motel in the Downtown zone), train stations, and the zone right before you enter the 10th Street apartment building. The docks are kind of a crap shoot. Sometimes everyone stays, sometimes everyone dissappears. Hope this is helpful.

Just to be clear, they disappear when entering buildings where combat is possible? or just buildings without combat?

Found a few small things, I dunno if they'll be helpful or not.
1. When walking out the door to the morgue, there is a weird character animation where Jake sticks both arms out to the side for no apparent reason.

2. When more than one enemy spawns near the building where the guy sells you the Lone Star badge, when you kill one of them, and the other hasn't entered the screen yet, the second one becomes neutral, but follows you until you transition out of that area of the map.
3. In the Caryards Arena, if you click the mouse while the screen is preparing to transfer you to the battle (where the owner shouts "Battle!") it will turn his portrait into a hot pink block.
4. Probably the most significant one so far, but I've no idea how to reproduce it: When preparing to fight the gang leader in the Arena, I bought the ninja outfit and the Ruger Super Warhawk from the gun dealer. When I left the conversation, it gave me the option to change out my equipment. I changed out my Finchetti light pistol for the Warhawk, but when I went to change the secure clothing for the ninja outfit, it wasn't in my inventory, and it's no longer for sale in the gun dealer's inventory, nor is it accessible from my stash in the caryards. It's disappeared entirely.

First off, everything is helpful!
:9mm: The animation, that is the costume animation... Does it happen the first time you leave the morgue? Or after you pretend to be a cop?

:9mm: I noticed that spawn bug myself during my balancing play through... I think I know how to fix it. (Pretty much making a zone that will trigger tagged NPCs to be hostile on enter)

:9mm: Another thing I saw but forgot to write down! I don't know what I can do about that though! :orcsad:

:9mm: Huh. that's strange.... I bought the ninja outfit myself and it worked, so I'm not sure what happened there... I'll dig around a bit, but I might just need to wait and see if anyone else sees it.
