DRAKE TOWER SURVEY
It is strongly suggested you save BEFORE entering Drake Tower.
This scene needs to be balanced and bug fixed.

You are welcome to take this survey with as many different characters as you want.

DRAKE TOWER SURVEY
1. Where are you when combat finally happens?
2. What triggered combat? Was it intentional or due to running out of options?
3. How much Karma does your character have?
4. What are your stats? (share a screenshot if possible, or just type them in)
5. Did you use the security uniform?
6. Did you use the scientist uniform?
7. On normal mode, was combat too easy / about right / too hard?
8. Do you have any "wishlist" items or other comments?

Thanks!

1. On the 6th floor.

2. The answer in the conversation with a guard was insufficient. I lacked the security etiquette and the standard answer made him go mad XD

3. Ended up with around 130 Karma when I reached the roof. Since I didn't had to fight much it should be around that (127-128) as I entered the tower as well.

4. Strength 3 (Close Combat 1, Unarmed 1, Throwing Weapons 1), Quickness 6 (Ranged Combat 5, Pistol 5, Shotgun 3, Dodge 4), Intelligence 4 (BioTech 2, Decking 1, ESP Control 1), Willpower 4, Charisma 4, Body 6

5/6. Both. Problem is it doesn't ask you if you want to use it. So I got the security uniform and was happy. On exploration suddenly I found the scientist uniform which got automatically used... which I didn't want at all.

Funny thing was, that on the 6th floor I just had a security talk option, no corporate or academic, which would be logical if you're dressed like a scientist.

7. Well, it was hard. But I was alone and the 70% hit chance felt like 20%. But thanks to the AI bugs I had some time until they finally shot back.

8. Considering the fact I'm Drakes prime evil it seems wrong to be able to get into his tower w/o being recognized just due to an uniform. Jakes face is pretty unique.

So my suggestion would be to lose some disguise credibility whenever you talk to someone.

If you talk twice to the same person you should lose even more – people should start to come up with things like "Never seen you before on security briefings", "You look familiar".

And on the third talk to the same person they should finally recognizing you. (Talking three times to the same person probably won't happen though I guess – well, on the 6th floor maybe if you leave the conversation multiple times).

Thanks for replying. As expected you brought up some interesting points.

The way the scene is made, the scientist uniform is pretty much a disguise upgrade. At the same time it also changes your options though... I will definitely make it optional to use.

I'll check the conversation options as well. Its entirely possible I put the logic in backwards.

I would like to do something to the effect of the disguise credibility for the whole building as well. It would make it more consistent with the volcano for one thing. I'm going to wait until most of the bugs are kicked before trying that though.

1. Second Floor.
2. Intentionally told off the guard.

3-4. As of floors 5-6 and the roof, 197 Karma spent, 3 redeemed/unspent total, distributed as follows (unlisted=0): Body 9, Quickness 7, Ranged 7, Pistol 5, Rifle 7, Dodge 5, Str. 1, Int. 4, Bio. 2, Decking 4, Will 2, Cha. 4, Negotiation 4.
Note: I left after discovering that not only was there no way to take off the scientist uniform, but it was also impossible to gain the attention of the 4th-floor guards while wearing it to see if it would drop on leaving the tower (no). While out, I went and redeemed 62 Karma. Iirc, I had 1 "loose" redeemed karma at that point, and 3 unspent after spending karma (so 60 less spent karma or so for the first few floors). Most of this was to get Rifle skills (I used the cheap 16-damage pistol until then), but I did spend some on Body, Quickness, and Ranged, at least. I'd have to rewind my save to be certain.
Also note, I did run through most of the Arena twice, so I had some extra karma from that, but I didn't otherwise grind. Gearwise, I was in one of the +6 armors, and had the dermal plating for more armor and the cybereye for some accuracy.

5/6. Yes, both - tho the Scientist uniform was unintentional - I wanted to climb the tower the old-fashioned way.

7. I had myself + Kitsune through the 4th floor, and added Frogtongue for the last 2, and found the combat relatively easy throughout. Floor 5 deserves a special mention, tho, since its "no skill" option for the Scientist disguise can be used to make combat on that floor incredibly easy, due to the positon of the elevator "switch" (that could be intentional, and a decent reward for smart play).

8. My biggest request for Drake Tower is that you add a "Put on the uniform (yes/no)" dialog to both uniform pick-ups, since not everyone will want to use stealth to climb the tower, yet they can be forced to do so simply by not knowing to ignore those 2 'pick up" spots.

I have other things to say about the mod, given this playthrough, but I'll put them (along with some of these thoughts) in another post.

Thanks for the comments. I'll definitely make using the disguise optional. I'll be looking at your comments soon as well.

I'd be happy to go over the disguise credibility degrading I did in the volcano... Hit me up on Hangout or G+ anytime.

I killed the guard at the reception desk fairly early in my game, then plugged into the dataport and quickly went "Nope, this is clearly meant to be done MUCH later" and left. I remember having the prompt to put on a security badge, and I clicked yes, but it never appeared elsewhere when changing my appearance and I mostly forgot about it.

Went back to the tower later on with some shadowrunners and more skill. The hired Decker immediately unlocked the elevator which was nice. Stepped in, arrived on floor 1, IMMEDIATELY get told cover is blown and forced into combat.

Sounds like it's some unexpected behavior around preserving the state... I'll have to think a little bit on it, but I expect it's an easy tweak around how to store the game state when you clear the first floor but don't advance.
Thanks for pointing it out!
