I was very busy with my MA studies and I havent update this mod for a long time.
Still, I may install the game again and talk a look at the issue in a few days.

Well,in fact I don't know the 'cancel the drop options mod', I was refering to the 'Pikemen start battles with pikes' mod, which I couldn't name properly prepiously since I din't remember what it's exact name was. For what I've tried, your mod works pretty well just deleting the animations table, which is what I did.
My advise in this case would be renaming the animations file as you sugested, for I know it works just fine, keepping in the file just the new animations you made for the mod instead of including the whole vanilla table plus yours. As for me, it's what I did for my mod, and it works fine.
