I don't know if there are other 'zombie' tools, but the one I found was on a guy using it to destroy metal sheets. Obviously it's there so they actually use something to destroy these things - but it seems like if you one-shot kill someone whilst they're in the process of doing something like this, it doesn't give the game the chance to remove it from their inventory.
So now I've got a little trophy with a watering can icon.
