[B42/B41] Bandits NPC (v2)
Is bandit spawning based on your location, ie. some clans will not show in certain areas?
So, I have confirmed with "Bandits Extra Options" sandbox settings that the "Bandits progress based on world age" to be "OFF", as it is by default, regarding your warning about MP servers and world progression.

However we have two concerns on our server:

One is Bandits no longer seeming to use their weapons, perhaps related to a stack trace of "attempted index: getFireMode of non-table:null, function: Shoot -- file: BanditUpdate.lua line #141 (plus ManageCombat, GenerateTask, OnBanditUpdate #956, 1268, 1431 respectively) that my friends and I had in the first week or so of starting our world, quite a while ago

It hasn't happened since, but we realize it's likely because we haven't had any bandits spawn that actually use their guns on us. Or perhaps their gun usage broke (as we see they have been spawning with pistols) due to the error. Which I doubt, because even when this error occurred, they did shoot.

(If this error is what occurs with the Weapon Item Condition mod without the fix, then that's probably why though, as we added the compat. patch later I think... Memories very foggy so long ago).

It's Day 39 right now, so the only bandits that should be right to spawn are Clan 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. None of these should be friendly wanderers, I think? Yet I seem to see that pop-up often. We generally always get Thieves or Wanderers pop-up, which from my understanding neither of which should be spawning right now, just Inmates, Police, Preppers, Veterans, and Boozehound Brigade.

So I'm wondering if it's location based as we are out in the isolated 3 mansions of West Point.

Regardless, of the groups that we do get spawn, often we see they have weapons, but aren't using it on us. Since the most we get are Thieves, which start off as non-aggressive. We did get Inmates once, but no Police yet.

I suppose the best bet to reduce variables is just remove the Bandits Extra Options mod. Since I saw in your FAQ that Brita's Weapon and Armor etc are compatible already. There are some other nice features though.

If you're running a dedicated server, all of the clans spawning info is in your _Sandbox file

yeah but main concern is how come im still getting friendly wanderers and thief spawns, my current clan spawning bracket doesn't have any of those
ok i 3x'd the spawn rate and finally got a police spawn, however the police were zombies lol for some reason, like they spawned and talked but were zombies
