What's New In Patch 3 - Turrets and Talents
Patch 3 introduces:
  • Four new submarine turrets, two small and two large
  • A number of talent changes, buffs and nerfs
  • A Number of new items and ammo types
  • A ton of minor balance changes, bug fixes, and additions

The New Turrets Are As Follows

Mass Driver
A charged single-shot turret, like a faster firing pulse laser with an emphasis on kinetic damage instead of burning damage, and piercing projectiles which are capable of doing damage to multiple limbs.

Heat Cannon
A turret with limited range which fires a stream of scalding steam or plasma, burning targets.

Double Chaingun
A chaingun that fires faster with slightly increased energy cost and slightly increased spread.

Double Pulse Laser
A pulse laser that does not charge between shots, and fires two-shot bursts with slightly increased energy cost.

The New Ammo Types Are As Follows

Heat Cannon
  • Steam - a continuous cloud of burning steam
  • Acidic Steam - a continuous cloud of steam that gives both physical and acid burns
  • Radioactive Steam - a continuous cloud of steam that gives radiation sickness and burns
  • Plasma - a continuous stream of plasma which can mine minerals and melt structures

Mass Driver
  • Standard - physical hitscan projectile that pierces multiple targets/limbs
  • Slug - a projectile that does less physical damage, but higher armor pen, target piercing and higher bleed
  • Depleted Fuel - a slightly improved projectile that does more armor pen, damage, and radiation sickness
  • Armor Piercing Incendiary - does slightly less physical damage and bleed, but adds burn damage and armor pen
  • Physicorium - a powerful projectile doing much more physical damage, armor pen and stun
  • Fulgurium - a projectile which doesn't pierce at all, but creates a discharge coil chain lightning on impact

Chaingun / Double Chaingun
  • Armor Piercing Incendiary - does slightly less physical damage and bleed, but adds burn damage and armor pen
  • Explosive - explodes on impact for extra damage
  • Fulgurium - a projectile with lower base damage, but has a chance to create a discharge coil chain lightning on impact
  • Acidic - deals less physical damage but bonus acidic damage

Pulse Laser / Double Pulse Laser
  • Blue Laser - does less damage and does not explode on impact, but can pierce a large number of targets for a higher net damage
  • Diffractive - does a larger explosion on impact

Coilgun / Double Coilgun
  • Armor Piercing Incendiary - does slightly less physical damage and bleed, but adds burn damage and armor pen
  • Spreader - does less damage and armor pen but fires multiple projectiles at once in a spread
  • Fulgurium - a projectile with lower base damage, but has a chance to create a discharge coil chain lightning on impact
  • Acidic - deals less physical damage but bonus acidic damage

Flak Cannon
  • Decoy - a box with only three shots that scatter flares which distract and entice enemies into trying to bite them and burning themselves
  • Fulgurium - a projectile with low damage, but which creates a discharge coil lightning effect on detonation
  • Acidic - leaves clouds of corrosive acid on detonation

Railgun
  • Depleted Fuel Canister - an improved version of the canister shell that deals radiation sickness
  • Explosive Canister - a canister shell that fires a spread of explosive pellets
  • Hullbreaker - a railgun shell that pierces targets and explodes 0.1 seconds after its first impact, detonating any explosives contained within. Ideal for piercing the hulls of submarines and blowing up in the middle for maximum damage.
