What's New In Patch 3.5 - Exosuit Nerfs :(
This update may be controversial as people dislike nerfs, but the exosuits were a very common complaint with the mod to many people. They are quite powerful and make dive suits obsolete generally, so I decided to make them a bit harder to get. Here's what was changed in this update:
  • Reduced skill requirements and adjusted prices on a bunch of "exo"/heavy weapons
  • Increased the fabrication and deconstruction cost/yield of standard exosuit
  • Changed the crafting recipes for all job exos and most purchaseable exos to require a standard exosuit as a base, along with some fitting items for what the exosuit does (like handheld sonar for captain or metal crates for assistant).
  • Changed the exosuit talents to not check or care about which job you are and hopefully give talents more consistently now
  • Changed level requirement for job exosuits to 14 so they are more late-game items now to not make dive suits as irrelevant
  • Removed the standard exosuit from all job exosuit talents except for mechanic so you either require a mechanic to supply exosuits for your job *or* to find an exosuit on a wreck and clean it up.

Goated update if only you dropped it like yesterday i had just made an exosuit so like, should i scrap it and wait for the appropiate time to get it?

That's up to you, if you want to not feel as strong as quickly you can scrap it, but if you just really like the exos and want to use it, feel free

The exosuit talent doesn't seem to be working, whenever I reach level 14 it doesn't give the talent to make the job specific exosuit. Could it be a load order problem?

Sometimes if you gained levels from other talents that grant you a talent point or level up, it delays the amount you need to get the exosuit by that amount of levels

Do medal xp not count towards the level requirement? i got 2 of each profission at about 14 levels each average, no exosuit unlocks for me so far

No, I tested this myself by using a mechanic bot. One of my mechanics that got medals and Bon Voyage from the Assistant mindwipe feature ended up maxing out talents, and could not make exosuits.

I hired a Mechanic bot and let them level up from missions and we were able to unlock exosuit recipes for the whole crew.

You must level up NATURALLY, by doing missions and you'll be able to make exosuits. No medals, no Bon Voyage mindwipes.

How do I unlock the recipes for special exosuits? I mean the ones made of the huge monster parts. Thanks in advance!

@MarQan later in campaigns (about halfway through the map) you can encounter an NPC who sells random exosuit blueprints. That's how you find the blueprint for the abyss creature exosuits.
