Bug reports and known bugs
This discussion is intended for reporting problems with the game.
All the bugs I was made aware of but did not fix yet will be listed in (this) initial message. Please check it before reporting the bug again. Or don't. After all your bug might be similar but different from a known one. Especially if it is related to a different vehicle.

Known issue - When using Rusted Vehicles for Vehicle enhancer - 2 door pickup vans have rust outlines more reflective of a 4 door version. This is primarily a texture issue so not getting fixed in this mod.

I found 2 new bugs
1 bug - when you open the windows in all cars, the window does not go down and because of this you can be bitten by zombies. (it would be cool if they added an animation for opening windows)

2 bug – the colors of the car body and the hood doors do not match in color. For example, I have a gray truck, but the doors and hood are light gray.

1) This is a known issue. Unfortunately so far I wasn't able to link window animations without them glitching out door animations if you try to open a door that has an open window. I will try to get to it eventually but no promises on the timeline.

2) Mesh being separated into several meshes creates borders where normals don't flow organically. So it is possible that where the door separates from the body now there is a sharp change in normals, and with lighting that sharp change in normals is seen as sharp change in color. Please let me know what vehicles are affected and I will try to see if I can fix the normals at the door edges so they match normals on the body.
For the time being, could you make the windows disappear instantaneously like when smashing the window? It think this would be a good solution until animations are polished.

Unfortunately no. Though I might have figured out how to give them "window missing" effect from vanilla. And if this effect is applied to open windows you'll get that. But that is not a guaranteed fix. :(

broken windows leave the frame there, and the door can be opened and closed, that's what i'd do, if window is rolled down then show "broken" window

(btw thanks for disappearing player submod, love it)

@Retrad_ - The FBX files I created have animations for windows rolling up and down. But for some reason (most likely because the vehicle animation capability was undercooked when its developments stopped) when I try to plug them in, they don't really work. And I don't have fine control over what happens when you roll down the window. If I did - I would have made it work properly.
I am planning on returnign to that issue. I suspect that Tsar's common library has a fix for that kind of issue, and I want to take a peek how it works and then make a similar implementation in the mod (adding tsarlib as a dependancy for just one fix sounds like an overkill to me...) But that is currently at a lower priority than SVU and VVE compatability. Well... Maybe above VVE compatability since I'd want that patch to already have working windows.

So.. Just a heads up to everyone. The vanilla-based "gray window" approach was a bust. Since it is already in the shader and obviosly does not help.
But on the other hand now window animations are my top of the list priority.

Good news! I finally figured what I was doing wrong. Now I know how to get window animations running. I will have to spend quite some time adjusting all the scripts and re-exporting all the models both in the main mod and in SVU compatability. So it will be a few days before I can make this update, but it is coming.

Aaaand window animations are out! Please let me know if you see any problems.
My windows are not rolling down. I'm using VVE

Please check if the mod is pully updated. To force the update unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod so Steam downloads the latest version.
Thank you resubscribing fixed the issue.
