Here's how to solve it:

1. After downloading BF2042 Disable the Crosshair
   
   
2. Exit the game, Unsubscribe BF2042 Disable the Crosshair and then move it out of the workshop folder

Explanation of the center element it is managed in the parent mod, right in the localplayerpanel.res file in the fieldname “CustomCrosshair”, the name of the mod is disabled it's just a name there is no script or command needed just turn on it,

If between 2 mods that supports crosshair is not enabled and not moved out of the workshop folder then "CustomCrosshair" in localplayerpanel.res will return an error because the image is not found or in other words, there will be a ugly icon in the center of your screen.
