FAQ
Q: Is there a guide?
A: Yes, there is an in-game guide, but you’ll need to find it first. If that’s not enough, I plan to release an “offline” guide later.

Q: Is the mod multiplayer compatible?
A: It should be, but further testing is required to confirm full compatibility.

Q: Are all items usable?
A: Not all items are currently usable or functional, but more features are planned for future updates.

Q: Can the mod be loaded into an existing save game?
A: As with all map mods, this is only possible if the specific cell (In this Mod: 28,41) has not yet been generated by the game. A cell is generated when a player has been in its vicinity at any point.

It will allow you to add map mods into an already existing game.
The pain in the arse part is clearing out the bin files that the map would take up. Ex: Cell 30x21
So this might help you: https://lordikol.github.io/PZ_MapCleaner/
MAKE A BACKUP in case you boink your game.

Q: I can remove radioactive zones?
A: Yes, all zones outside the power plant are created by the mod "Radiated Zones" in a text file called coordinates.txt.
....workshop\content\108600\3019024205\mods\RadiatedZones\media
You can add or remove zones there. A very detailed description can be found on the Radiated Zones mod page. "RadiatedZones"
The zones inside the power plant are currently created by this mod and can be disabled in the sandbox options.

Q: Why am I still getting irradiated despite wearing the hazmat suit?
A: The hazmat suit protects you while you're in the zone but does not provide 100% protection against the radiation emitted by highly radiated items like nuclear rods or nuclear waste, as they emit too much radiation. As long as you stay away from such items, you should be safe.
Note: In the event of a fallout where radiation levels rise extremely high and spread over a large distance with a gradient, the hazmat suit will not provide full protection but is still better than nothing.

Q: I'm outside the radioactive zones but am still getting radiation, why?
A: Even if you're outside the zones, you can still be affected by radiation if you have radioactive materials in your inventory or nearby. Drop them to be safe.

Q: How do I enable the spawn point?
A: In Single Player, spawn points are disabled by default. To enable them:
  • Start a new game using the Sandbox mode.
  • In the Sandbox Options, enable the spawn point setting before starting the game.
Once the game begins, you will be able to choose a spawn point after your character has died at least once.
"Note: If you can manually change the settings outside the game or use a mod that allows modifying Sandbox Options in an existing game, you can enable the spawn point setting, save the changes, and reload the game to apply them."

Is it compatible with Monmouth County? thank you

@thejavieljefe
Right now, I can't tell you if there are any conflicts with other maps without analyzing each map mod separately.
I’ve requested the creator of the "Map Mod Manager" to add my map to the database. With the next update of the "Map Mod Manager", you’ll be able to check for conflicts.

Do you have to wear the hazmat suit / mask from this mod, or do hazmat oriented gear from, say, Brita armor also work?
Chaos  [developer] 5 Dec, 2024 @ 11:59am
@Akadai
My mod does not provide any wearable items.
The "RadiatedZones" mod has a list of items that are recognized as protective gear.
I can’t confirm whether any items from the Brita mod are compatible.
For such details, you’ll need to ask on the "RadiatedZones" mod page.

hello
my friend sledged out the diognosis machine. is there a way to fix this?
i have access to admin if that helps

@Rolph
If you destroy the diagnostic system (it is not visible or burnt out) then you can no longer access it because it is unique.

Other systems that use normal PCs can be replaced by a new PC.
