How to use the Weapons
HOW TO USE THE WEAPONS
  • Sit at the weapons console and switch on the monitors using the flip switch to the far left.
  • Press the button on the console to activate the fire control system, this will also allow you to move the external camera.
  • Arm each weapon individually by using the respective flip switches (Yes you can use them both at once, but just be aware that they each have limited firing arcs).
  • You can aim each weapon manually just by having it armed and pointing the camera at something then pulling the trigger.
  • Alternatively you can press the button to switch on the Fire Control Radar, and use the 'Lock Target' switch to lock onto your target if you want the camera to follow it and try to keep it in the middle of the screen.
  • Press the trigger to fire the selected weapon at the target, the fire control computer will try to compensate for the lead and elevation automatically.
  • To use the guided missiles you will need to ensure that they are armed by flipping the switch to the far right of the console.
  • You can press the button to fire them at the target that you have locked onto via the camera - be advised that they work best at ranges of around 700-2000m when used in this mode, trying to shoot at anything closer will most likely result in a miss, switch to guns instead.
  • You can also fire the missiles at targets outside of visual range (useful against other players or vehicles using 'keep active' blocks) by adding a waypoint for the missile to follow, this can be done either from your own map by inputting the coordinates to the waypoint keyboard or by clicking the icon and placing it on the missile computer's map screen.
Now when you fire the missile it will proceed toward the waypoint it was given before turning on it's own radar and trying to find a suitable target, otherwise it'll just hit the surface directly under the waypoint instead.
