Yep, just saw the author replied to someone else asking the same question...I haven't leveled up any of the officers yet, so I don't know if they get a 2nd one later on, but I sure hope so for the sake of my fuel consumption rates.

As of the moment no matter how much XP you have officers only get 1 sailor. Mine are all maxed out XP and only 1 officer so don't waste time adding additional sailors with XP points because it doesn't work

I think the latest patch broke this mod a lot.

Yes it is intended due to game design. The game does not allow you to use all crew as it's nature. So I had to remove second assigned sailors. You don't need them anyway, as they gave enourmous buffs which make the game piece of cake in my opinion.

bOOOgy, one of those enormous buffs is 30% fuel reduction, which for the type IIA is a godsend. Manually assigning and re-assigning sailors to a navigator to eke out a small extra % of fuel isn't particularly fun. I've come close to running out of fuel (1% and less) on basic missions with an engineer permanently assigned a lackey.

Well, to be honest, I did not test for type II thruly. I focused on VII type U-boats :d Still, you can do good without such cheats. I trust you! :d

I have to agree with Jude, starting as the U-4 it is very difficult to remain on patrol without the normal fuel buffs. I do prefer the added challenge of only starting with a single sailor, but would really, really love to be able to upgrade my officers to unlock the second sailor.
