Like I said, I could only replicate the bug in multiplayer myself, but I know that any mod that affects the AdvancedSetup screen will interfere with this mod in single player.
Here's a pastebin for the log file with my mod list. Gonna keep testing and experimenting as well. Be sure to delete the space.
I'm sorry for the hassle. For what its worth, i love the mod, and was gonna request patches for some of Strudeler and Gedemo's mods before the crashes happened.
I would set up my game like normal, but nothing would happen when I clicked “Start Game” nothing would happen. I got around it by remaking my usual game preset with the settings I want, saving it, disabling this mod, restarting the game, and then loading that preset when I go to make a new game.
As for the crash, thats an entirely new issue yhat I don’t know much about yet. Currently investigating Lime’s mods as they’re the other thing that ended up changing about my mod list recently.

After some more testing, I have finally concluded that the mod causing the start game button bug, to the shock of no one, sukitract's Civ select screen.
At this point, if it weren't such a valuable mod to me, I would've gotten rid of it by now. Makes you wonder if it's possible to make a more compatible version, and if so, why someone hasn't.
Regardless, seems like you might have to improve your patch some more. And I also believe that my workaround for the bug is potentially what's causing the bug where a city state can spawn in the same game as the civ that matches it.
