This is a big, big problem that I REALLY hope is fixed soon. The ambient fire is a cool option, but should be set to default as off in my opinion. There is no easy way to disable it on a dedicated server that I know of, and as soon as you get a couple fires started (and they always get started) server FPS starts to tank. You can't even remove the fires in zeus, just have to wait for them to burn themselves out. It's bad enough that the small group I play with is considering removing MCC until it's fixed, which would suck because it provides so much other awesome stuff.

As far as I know currently you can only easily remove it from a local instance by having the host change the setting in the CBA addon options and then restarting. If you're running on a dedicated server though, it's more difficult.

You have to go into the configure addons and turn it off in mcc general then restart the mission and it should be off

So far, I don't know a way to disable it, but I do know a way to delete a fire in Zeus.

If you have a Zeus addon (Achilles) which gives you the ability to add objects to be editable, perform the 'Add Object to Zeus' at the center of the fire and delete whatever came out from it (Usually has a Land Mine icon)
It is a setting in MCC General (CBA settings). Problem is MCC does not allow you to access CBA settings when you are in mission editor. Either you need to be in Arma main menu, or have the mission running . CBA settings in general is a pain in the neck, and to be honest I recently got tired of dealing with cba settings interface, especially with so the mods that are not letting you access cba settings while in mission editor (MCC and VCOM, off the top of my head). So if you are running your own server, recommend to learn how to run cba_settings as sqf script (Go to CBA github for instructions). Super easy to do, and makes life much easier for preparing missions, and you can also adjust MCC settings like fire. The fire is cool, but the spreading wildfire everywhere is ridiculous. Also we did a HALO jump and the parachute colliding with ground started a brush fire.

It's still enabled by default on Eden editor.

For the love of god:
In ArmA main menu click Options
then click Addon Options
The next to "ADDON:" by default it will be "CBA UI" click on it and select "MCC General" there you will find "Ambient fire" :lunar2019wavingpig:
