While not controling creatures:
General controls are same as Big Spider's one in safari.
Press Special - to switch to tentacle that allows to control creatures it touched. (also switches control back to Parasite)
Holding Grab while having some creature grabbed by you lets you take control of it. (Fully, without having to rely on tentacle)

While controling creature:
Hold Special - Exit controled creature
General controls are same as in safari mode.
Lizards can jump (with Jump keybind) and hold item in jaw (hold Grab with jaw near item you want to pick up).
Most creatures eat with holding Grab (when picked up some prey)

No idea if there are special or different controls for other creatures.

thank you! can you eat as the parasite or only as controlled creatures?

if anyone knows, what diet does each creature have and if they can eat as parasite?

i recommend using a scav as a host as soon as possible, plays pretty much exactly like the scav campaign so you can even craft i think (havent tested it)

also im pretty sure every creature you parasitize have the same diet as you

Diet should be mostly of what creatures you control.
Lizards can eat fruits but I don't think centipedes can eat at all.
