The Artificial - Balancing Ideas
The Artificial is great, I enjoy playing as it quite a lot, it has a sort of power and heft to it that other creatures lack in play style.
But sometimes I can't help but feel as if it's a bit over powered at times, especially in regards to how other creatures react. Most creatures still react as if it was a slugcat, even the smallest lizards end up just walking into my hands.
I believe damage and health should not be reduced at all, it is essential to the feeling of playing as The Artificial.

But I believe the delay between super jumps could be increased a bit, as it negates nearly every environmental hazard. It's at a pretty good spot already as the Artificial is not very mobile despite the jumps which is good, but just a bit more of a recharge, and consequences of overusing it would help balance it out, kind of like the Artificer stun or even death.

Another idea would be expanding upon the overheating mechanic. Maybe The Artificial could have seizures and be stunned if it chomps and super jumps too much, and have the Hunter sickness effect play, essentially hunter sickness every time The Artificial's abilities are overused to punish an excessively confrontational approach, so you cant just go around and kill everything in your path as much, but still lean on a more confrontational playstyle to an extent.

I think making it so The Artificial has essentially a perma normal vulture mask would make hunting more fun, so smaller lizards and creatures don't just run into you and you'd have to chase them around a bit, I think that'd be really fun, but allow for bigger lizards to put up more of a fight, maybe even seriously injure you. Essentially make smaller creatures run away, and bigger creatures pose more of a risk. Green, Red, and Caramel lizards could injure you so badly that either your legs stop functioning or your super jump gets disabled until next cycle. Big lizards shouldnt be deathly threats, but rather solid rivals. Maybe give green lizards high resistence against bites, red lizards a higher chance of injuring you, and caramel lizards a 30% chance of stunning you.

In conclusion, I would love to see The Artificial to be a little bit more impacted by injuries and battles to raise the stakes and keep things more interesting.
