seems i can see any of the powers as long as i have the bracelet equipped
even if i dont own the skill
but when i attempt to use it just says i dont know how to use that skill

Yeah, that’s intentional for now. It was easier to load it in statically like that than checking each skill’s status before loading the popup, otherwise I'll need intermediate steps to determine which hack was selected instead of just using the index the player picked. I might change it, but we'll see.

Im new to the game so I may not be doing it right but I can't seem to power the organic hacking tool with the Jacked tinker mod, my char is a mutant with elec generation. is this expected?

I just tested this, it seems like it's working fine. Do you have your "Power Devices" ability toggled off?

I do. Elec gen is level 9 atm.

Did you take the power cell out? Even with jacked, you still need a cell inside, but it'll draw energy from electricity gen before it touches your cell.

Yea batteries included, a chem cell, which is more that enough to power it without Jacked. I have a number of other mods installed so I'm guessing it's probably something going on there. Thank you for debugging with me.

Hopefully you can find a fix somewhere. You can check your player.log in AppData\LocalLow\Freehold Games\CavesOfQud to see if any modss are throwing errors. I'll keep an eye open if anything else pops up regarding jacked.

Follow up, its fixed. It was a conflict with the 1percent lootdrops mod. Passing the file to Copilot identified the issue pretty quick. Thanks again for the support.

That’s good to know, though strange since I also have 1% drops enabled.

Edit: This has been fixed and was actually caused by restarting the game.

It is known that if you remove/wear a hacking bracelet after implanting yourself with the hacking implant, the implant will report that it is unpowered. The fix for this is to keep the bracelets removed and unimplant/reimplant the hacking implant. It will then function correctly.

Not a huge issue due to it never really happening in normal gameplay but; if you hack yourself with hostile hacks, npcs will try to kill you for it...

hacked myself with metabolic slowdown to see how much it was doing and yd freehold decided it that was unacceptable.

I saw this issue too, but then I retested it in different villages and couldn't recreate it there. It seems like it's specific to Yd Stronghold or something to do with factions (I think I might have upset Argyve specifically due to this before, but never again) for some reason, and I don't know why.

Maybe it occurs if you have a high rep with a specific faction because they're registering that you attacked a figure they care about?
