Sound Muffling Effect
(Fixed) [Bug Report] Nombat music repeats every half-second
When having both this addon and the Nombat active, music will constantly shuffle every half-second. Nothing shows up in the error logs or in the console. Only tested in the 64-bit branch of GMod.

The Action Music addon is still compatible.

for me, when i have both this addon and nombat enabled - both ambient and combat tracks will simultaneously play at max volume

on the other hand, if i try to disable ambient or combat music in the settings menu - then the issue seems to be alot more like you describe it where it keeps shuffling between tracks

I have pushed a possible fix in the latest update. Please notify if it's still a problemo.
tested it, unfortunately the issue is still present

im not a programmer, but heres the best way i can describe the problem:

with Nombat, normally, when there's no enemies around, the Combat music volume is at a very low percentage (possibly around 1%) while the ambient music is at 100% volume. When an enemy spots you, the opposite happens - Combat goes up to 100%, Ambient goes down to 1%

When Nombat is disabled in the settings menu - it's actually not fully disabled. The music continues playing, but the volume is super low to the point of where you normally wouldnt hear it on top of gameplay (if literally no other sounds are happening, you can still very faintly hear it. Possibly an engine limitation?). For some reason, while its disabled, it will continuously shuffle through random tracks, kinda like the original poster described. Normally though, when its disabled, you're basically unable to hear it due to the low volume

Heres where the issue/incompatibility comes in:

When both this mod and Nombat are enabled - The tracks are seemingly always at 100% volume. The ambience is at 100%, and combat is also always at 100% causing them to play on top of eachother. When it's disabled, the afformentioned shuffling happens, which is very noticeable since the issue causes the tracks to always be at 100%

That's strange, I can't seem to replicate it on 64-bit branch. Which branch are you on?

I encounter an issue where I hear a lot of quiet static sounds coming from npcs, and for some reason using one of my addons I am subscribed to ("MW/WZ Skydive/Parachute + Infil") the skydiving sounds dont stop when you reach the ground, same thing with the parachute, the audio gets messed up with that too, im playing on the 64x branch btw

YES! The nombat issue seems to be fixed! Thank you! C:

Some of the other issues people were talking about (footsteps and VJ SNPC sounds not working) still seem to be present, but im really happy to see progress c: great work!
Oh great! I also wanted to report that issue but now that it's fixed I'll surely use this addon most of the time, it just adds so much immersion :D
