yw, got lots of time to find names to use for the game

4121 - Ulaidh/Béal Feirste | 375 - Tuadhmhumhain/Luimneach | 4118 - Deasmhumhain/Corcaigh

these names should appear when Ireland forms. changing the administration center from the old towns the earls were ruled from to the larger cities after uniting the country.

this extra thread should help. also, if you want to keep us updated on what your working on in this area we can help you find names to help speed things along.

@Callipso - Thanks for your contributions. I'll be sorting through them as I get the Mare Nostrum provinces added in.

Province 2664 and province 1761 have the same name when playing as Prussia.

I started playing as Scotland, and for some reason it told me to change Lodainn to Lowden and one other place to an English name too. I don't know how to change them back now. My primay culture is still Scottish. Should this be happening?

@KeizerHarm - Scotland uses Scots names instead of Scottish Gaelic. Countries with Highlander culture (the Gaeldom I think is one of them) use Scottish Gaelic names.

@Haxorus29 - Thanks for the report, I'll see about making that less confusing

I see... This just feels unimmersive, it's like I've been taken over by English. Did Scottish people in the time really use Lowden?

Unrelated: I see you even have Atlantean entries. Kudos for that :D

Scots (which is similar to English) was the working language of Scotland from the 1200s til 1707, so most likely non-Highland Scottish people would have called it something like Lowden. What I can do however, is add an optional event to let any Scottish-cultured country choose betwen Scots and Scottish Gaelic names, in case you'd like to use less-English sounding names.

That would make my game more fun. If you have the time, I'd appreciate it :D

Province 2297 and province 1848 are both named Thrakesion as Byzantium (at least for me), and is there any way to increase the character limit on province names? Because some of the New World French prov names are too big ( and a lot of others), and when the province is clicked on end up being cut off to the maximum amount of characters allowed..

@Pangonia - I'll see about trying to find some Komi names for the region

@Pangonia1998 - I'm not sure I understand what you mean. The North Asian provinces should have translations for the world-wide and 'Old World' languages; or are you requesting names for Komi-cultured countries?

You're welcome to post suggestions here; if you have a lot of them, I've had people make Google spreadsheets before to hold the info and you could post the link here

@Pangonia - Yep!

So with Extended Timeline, would you be doing the provinces filled in where wasteland used to be? or are you not supporting ET?

Currently this mod doesn't support ET, because their province numbers don't match up with the base game's. To make it compatible would require ajdusting each province number in the event files, in addition to coming up with names for the new provinces and making sure that the old provinces' names were still valid, so ET compatibility isn't coming any time soon unfortunately.
