Are there any upgrades for the mec's weapons and armor? I've had a unit in my squad for a while and while im able to get magnetic weapons and pred armor i cant seem to figure out how to upgrade the mecs weapons.. is this possible in this mod?

In my experience the weapons upgrade, but remain the same with the name. For example with the Viper it's a viper beam rifle, but when I upgraded to magnetic weapons it had another viper beam rifle to change to with more damage. Looks exactly the same cosmetically and same name, but changed damage output from 5-7 ro 7-9 if I remember correctly.

Speaking of...I have found the game is impossible with Longwar aliens pack AND putting "all pods active" together when attempting the highest difficulty...

Not tried the game yet on highest difficulty. Im the sort of person that likes to be able to win the game, however did love longwar on the xcom before (cant call it 1st xcom :( )
Sadly have been drowning myself in other games of late. (It's still installed on my ssd, just havent gotten round to playing again.. been tormenting myself with rimworld (been a backer since kickstarter, but recently got back into it) fallout4, long time planetside2 player, and did manage 2 minutes of no mans sky, but when i accessed the menus, and how they move towards the mouse.. yea refunded that for the new deus ex... roll on end of the month.
(had there been less hype and that ebay bloke reviews i might still have nms)
ranting soz. :steamfacepalm:

I quite agree as I'm the same. I'm only attempting higher difficulty for a bit of fun and once I got a mec on my team the game has now become slightly more balanced as I use him to draw enemy fire.

I've been drowning myself in XCOM 2 after adding the Long War Alien pack which adds all kinds of interesting extra aliens to the game with new abilities.

Also don't worry, I often go off on tangents and rant all the time :)
