Quick review of act 5
A very quick review of act 5.
The areas are really nice, a little linear but well designed.
I particulary like Dark Woods and Hilltop.
The bosses are very interesting, well done !

The act feels quite hard but a little unrewarding.
A reason to that is the lack of interactive items.
You know, chests, weapon racks, rocks, urns, dead corpses, fishholes, and so on.
It's really the thing that could make the areas more alive, and more rewarding.

I think one boss or two could have an automatic unique item drop, like in other acts.
And every champion should have normal table loots, which is not the case for all of them, for example the elementals in front of the temple.

Another thing that bothers me is the lack of variety in the mobs of the 1st zone. We fight only bandits and after a while it becomes a little boring. Maybe they can have fighting pets to defend their camp ?

By the way, why the gambler in the main camp is so expensive ? It's 3 times the normal cost, I have the feeling it is too much.

Sorry, I didn't have the time to test the rest (additional donjons and the raid), maybe later.
I really appreciate your efforts, and your mod should have more acknowledgment.
Good luck for the future !

Interesting review but the price for gambling at high level is the same as in the normal game and the boss are rewarding with often 1 unique on direct loot , adding the chests wich loot at least one unique you should be at least getting 2 unique per boss , you can farm them if you reroll your world in LAN. And for the monster variety each zone in torchlight has only 5 to 7 monster type and in the crossing if you don't count the elite you have 4 type of monster wich is already good but yeah having a new monster type could be cool ( bird pet like the player maybe?). yeah loot table are an issue for elite and the drop of green item are very low (blue which is normaly rarer the green drops more often).

Just to warn you raid are hard and unrewarding if you are not well equipped and at the appropriate level, the first raid end chest have a loot table only for level like 95 and above ( @corley thats the reason why I was getting nothing on my first attemps around level 93).

hi guys, I appreciate the time and feedback as it helps shape the mod and brings improvements. I tried to make the new areas unique and interesting whilst keeping the quality high, I did not want to repeat the previous acts or levels and have the same old design etc

I will look at the boss/unique drops and also look into making more world interaction with items, rocks weapon racks etc

With the gambler I don't believe I touched or changed it but I will have another look.

I also wanted to let you know based on your feedback the update I will release today will include several new monster types to help with variety.

If you do get time check out the end game/act 5 dungeons that open up and see how you get on.

Thanks again

Thanks for your answer @Corley !
For the gambler, maybe it's a different mod on my side that changes the prices in other acts, I'll have to check that.

I don't have the time to test additional stuff these days, but surely in he future.
