Act_06
Wondering how much of this has been completed. New player, really enjoying the game with this mod so far. I was curious on how many Hub town's were in the game, I asked ChatGPT and it said that Act 05 has it's own hub town, and I'm wondering about Act 06. Thank you for the incredible mod!

Hey cLearNow, Act6 is very big and a full campaign experience. It contains a small town hub and alot of very unique maps. The most important thing about act6 is that it contains alot of the end game dungeons/challenges and rewards(The Temple Valley). The main reason we say that act6 is not 100% complete is that we have a few more side quest maps that we want to add in at some point.

I would say that act5 is complete(although we are starting to go back and update/refresh some of the maps as our skills have improved since we made act5 years ago, you can also see a big difference when you go from act5 - 6 in our maps and our ability's.

Act5 has big town/hub and once you complete act5 you can either go forward into act6 or go into New Game+ mode.

Overall the Mod extends the balance and feel of the original game and just add more - such as lot of quality maps, bosses and classes. Let us know if you want any more details or help. There's also a few videos etc that show some of our work and content.

I also checked Brave browser's built-in AI-bot to see if the results would provide players some idea of what to expect for the Ace mod. It finds some details and misses others as is to be expected. Overall, both at least provide the most important detail that Act_05 does have a Hub.

Act_05 offers a completed Main-Quest line along with completed text-box dialog, offers several farming maps (including a Phase Beast isle with all it's related maps) especially after completing it's main quests. Tarroch's Trials and the vanilla Tomb are also found here.

The Hub-town "Langhaven" of Act_05 is also built to be a proper Vendor and Enchanter Hub. Everything a player could want to empower builds is there. It's also intended that the Player returns here during the events of Act_06. "Hint"... it's peaceful in Langhaven.

= = = =

And that leads to the most unique differences with the Hub of Act_06 "Outskirts".
Ravaged by the next phase of the previous war in Act_02; this hub is not even a "town" - rather... it's a small Fort in the middle of a walled battlefield that is surrounded by enemy forces both outside the city and inside the city. The "Fort-Hub" stands as a small open gate between the two sides of the map and acts as a choke-point. One way in - one way out. Advantage is that players can't miss it. Disadvantage is that the players need to keep their weapons ready because it's a fight to get in and out.

City of Zeryphesh - this is not.

Unlike Langhaven's Hub - the Outskirts Hub (of Vendors and Quest-Giver) is just a small section of this branching war map. We wanted players to feel the difference between Act_05 and 06 with the stark contrast in design. New Vendors will get harder to reach and earn as the mod-story progresses. Good news is that Langhaven is easy to return to and the mod scales it's Vendor Levels with the Player.

Speaking of feature differences - the special challenge maps of Act_06 are not located in the first Hub at the Outskirts... they're located in Temple Valley and the player will have to fight to reach that location by traveling in a north-west direction beginning at the Outskirts (after passing the Fort-Hub), then the Sandy Pier Blockade, eventually reaching the next major Portal at the Grand Docks. One of the docks contains another Portal that leads to Temple Valley.

The Temple Valley is actually another barren Hub of it's own, thankfully with no enemies, just strangely empty of life (except for a few Vendors and Stashes in one location), with plenty of beautiful desolate desert views to enjoy, and many difficult temples to raid. there is no lack of end-game content and bosses to challenge in Act_06.

We have yet to refine the text-boxes for the main Quest-Givers of Act_06 (specifically before and after the Ambushed Convoy quest). Nevertheless, Act_06 is a sight to behold and a challenge to progress for players. Plenty of custom-skilled opponents are hiding in this Act.

= = = =

Ace_mod's Side Quests for both Act_05 and 06 are refined and we are seeking to add more.

= = = =

Re-cap and number for all modded Vendor Hubs in Ace mod:

Act_05:

1. Langhaven; the biggest, most beneficial Hub in the newly added maps within Ace mod.

2. Tarroch's Trials; has a small vendor Hub that can be accessed from Langhaven.

Act_06:

3. Outskirts; the most contested (by in-game enemies) Hub yet very helpful to replenish.

4. Temple Valley; has a small vendor Hub closest to Grand Docks and the challenge maps.

= = = =

Overall; we wanted to provide much character and differences for these Hubs.

Thanks for your questions and you're welcome! :yellowflare:

Holy mod glory. When I told my friend about this mod he had some doubts, thinking that vanilla would be best. I told him that I am positive that this mod has been a passion project for a very very long time, I was certain that a ton of care, time, and effort was put into this. You both just proved me right 1000x over. This is the first time I've used the steam workshop, what a way to kick off that journey. Thanks again guys, 10/10 would buy mod developers an ale 🍺 Skol

Huge thanks for your kind words and appreciation for our dedicated work. :yellowflare:

I also look for quality mod authors in other games when available.

If you're into quality racing games with a Steam Workshop then BallisticNG with the mod author of Enai Siaion may also be of interest to add to your Workshop collection. He builds race tracks like no other.
