Compatibility with The Great War mod? and what about Rosa Luxemburg?
I have to say i am really impressed with the level of detail about anarchism presented in this mod! Even as someone who tends more towards Libertarian-Marxism (I used to simply be an Ancom when i adopted a leftist perspective), I find that the level of detail regarding the Anarchist ideology to be Very precise.

When I tried this mod with The Great War mod (starting as Amerikkka), I didn't find the branch of anarchism present within it. This is an era in which the IWW was at its strongest, and ideologies like Luxemburgism and Council-Communism had a large influence among the left.

This presents an opportunity to introduce characters like Rosa Luxemburg, and ideologies like Luxemburgism being a branching path of Libertarian-Communism. If for example germany becomes luxemburgist or even anarchist before the date that Rosa Luxemburg gets assassinated (January 1919), Then Rosa Luxemburg becomes one of the choices for leading the new communist Germany.

I understand that this would be a lot of work, and may require cooperation with The Great War mod creator, but if it happened, That would be awesome.

I'd like to see that too. Great War is my favorite overhaul mod. However, I'm only one person and making a mod of this scale by yourself[1] is challenging and maintaning two versions would be even more challenging. Although, if the Great War people want to add libertarian socialism, I'd be happy to assist if they ask.

I can say for certain this mod will not work with any overhaul mod such as Great War, Kaiserreich, Modern Day, etc. Those mods change too much and are only compatible with graphics mods and mods specifically made for them. (However, I have heard this mod works with the Road to 56, but I cannot guarantee compatibility and I have not made the mod with compatibility in mind.)

[1]: I've had volunteers submit flags, but it's about 99% me.

sorry but that makes no sense from an political-historical perspective, in germany was to become anarchist or anarcho-syndicalist, Rosa Luxemburg as she was a marxist/council-communist and had barely anything to do with anarchism and the anarchist movement in germany.

while they shared common enemies and also similarities in political views, Luxemburg and Liebknecht founded the Spartakusbund and later on made that into the KPD(Communist Party of Germany) which was in many things opposing anarchist ideals.

so while she would be a valid choice for a communist/council-communist/free socialist germany in 1919, she would be totally out of place for an anarchist/anarcho-syndicalist germany.
there it would make much more sense to have people like Erich Mühsam, Gustav Landauer, Herta Barwich, Rudolf Rocker or Augustin Souchy as "leaders".

I agree with you Joshua, But rosa luxemburg would be a great place to expand the mod to include council-communism.

Rosa's views to put it in brief were that the councils should hold the economic power, and that the state should serve secondary functions primarily to maintain the revolution.

I actually hold very similar views to rosa luxemburg, and expanding the mod to include a wider range of left-communist thought would be excellent material for a future expansion of the mod, especially if a version of the mod was made for the great war.

certainly true, but maybe in the future? since sudo does the mod completely alone and all?
