Starbound
TrueSpace
FU compatibility
Simple and straight forward. Is there a patch for this that makes it work with FU stars? If not may I make one

This is already FU compatible, but not in the way you are thinking. This mod uses real star classifications - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stellar_classification

When FU is detected, FU's planets are then put in TS's stars where they fit the best according to temperature belts. Therefore adding FU's stars on top isn't necessary, and neither does it make much sense given TS's intention of psuedo-realistic star systems.

Where finding the planet you want can be difficult, I recommend also using "More Planet Info" (plus the few fixes people have made for it) to make that much easier.

Ah that explains I think? why there isn't any Binary or Dark star systems. Even though they are technically a thing I think

We're hearing plenty of people saying they've never seen our planets with truespace, and frankly I'm inclined to believe 'em.

Added some new planet recently? Otherwise they're mistaken. Being as I see tons of FU added planets, and last I checked (not recently) all the FU added planets are included. Rather you see less vanilla planets than FU ones.

If people understand where to find them is another question. After all the stars are different.
i was wondering, do you have any analogues to the binary systems added in FU? there's a specific planet biome (super dense) that i believe only spawns in those stars and i haven't ever seen one such planet with truespace enabled
I do think it's EXTREMELY hard to find Super Dense planets with TrueSpace; I guess simply because there is only 1 "slot" configured for them, and there is a lot of competition. What I wound up doing is taking slots from Atropus Sea/Unknown/Strange Sea etc - each had close to 10 - and "giving" them to Super Dense, so I could at least get a few SD planets in my universe. Until doing so, I hadn't found a single one.

Would you be willing to turn that fix you made into a patch mod?

Superdense Planets should have more of a chance to actually spawn now, being thrown into the mid temperature range pools.
A question I have regarding True Space + Frackin' Universe is the probability of a planet that has tier 2&3 metals on it that is also ideal for BYOS users. I can't really pinpoint the issue but when I reset my universe with FU + TS installed, I couldn't find any planets that weren't sulphuric. Granted, my Lush planet was orbiting a planet that had a lot of spare parts/robotic stuff but I was hoping to find a desert in the star system. Is this normally an issue?
you may want to fix your mod because FU planets are now rare and hard to find and breaks starter planets

I second that.

If I recall, TS star systems follow roughly the same planet spawn pools as Frackin Universe Stars since they're both based on the idea of temperature belts. FU used this as a supplement ontop of base vanilla game starsystems; while TS just throws the vanilla game progression out the window for a temperature belt sandbox, knowing full well that with a huge mod like FU mounted you'd have 10+ biomes fighting for a spot in a given terrestial type for the midrange temperatures.
Due to the way these systems generate the desert requirement had to be removed or the game would take forever to find a suitable starting system (from the above mentioned issue of too many terrestial types)

I added the FU stars back in, breaks the idea of having real star classifications, but oh well, it's just a mod, you don't have to install it.

It’s completely outdated but i have been working on an idea for a mega mod anyways
Does not work, dont even bother installing it. Its fully outdated now.
