Game is crashing after making changes with IGE
I often use IGE to change terrain, add resources, units, etc., but about 50% of the time IF I've altered any terrain, when I save then restart using IGE my games will not only crash (saying that Runtime instructed the game to quit in an unusual fashion, or something like that) but then I am unable to play that saved game any longer. It crashes when I try to laod the previously crashed saved game.

Help!!! Please Help!!!

Its a DX11 error - must be my graphics card screwing up.

There is problem with GUI reading of game and mod - 1) May be problem, when you place mine on forest and it's cause crush of game, by reading save file. Try to delete latest save file by moded game. 2) Possibly Mod doesn't understand language of your keyboard (i don't know why and for what, but sometimes it's helped), stay on english keyboard.

I forget how I solved this issue, but I did solve it a couple of days after I posted this. I think it was actually a mod interfering with the IGE.

I get crashes every game if I use IGE at all. This is after years and years of playing this game with dozens of mods on a top end machine (RTX 3090 FTW3, I9-9900k) with no problem what so ever. Something in the equation has changed. Yes up to date drivers. If I use IGE for any function the game will then crash over and over. I now autosave every turn.

I forget just how I solved the issue, but I really think it was one of my mods interfering with the IGE. I use on average 150+ mods in any given game. I have a high end machine too, it isn't the hardware.

I disabled all of my mods except for IGE; then re-enabled some restarted, then more and restarted, until I had just about all of the mods I want to use enabled.

Nevermind. I uninstalled all mods. Verify integrity and it says 6 files are missing which it then patches. Launch again with no mods still crashing. Nothing to do with mods at all. Not sure WTF but not the mods fault at all.

It absolutely has to do with this mod. This occurs any time I do anything with IGE, it can then be solved by deleting the Civ 5 folder in My Documents, and will then occur again if I use IGE again. Sure, I can delete the folder and replace the saves every time I need to use IGE to do something, but this also resets all my game settings and is incredibly annoying.
