This should also fix the same startup issue with all the other big mods (Stargate, BSG, etc.), I don't believe the mod itself is at fault, but there seems to be a bug in how Nexus loads its mods. For some reason, it loads the files from the Dynamic Light Source mod even when it is not checked. Then it trips over some references to races or ship classes that do not exist in the mod you're trying to load.
