Have you considered more recent eras?
First off, I just want to say that the mod is amazing. As mod-unfriendly as RoN is, it's one of the few mods that works around these limitations in a more-or-less stable manner.

I understand that you have "sequels" in mind for the mod exploring other eras of the distant past, but have you considered more recent eras? For example, something that covers the progression of the Industrial Revolution (late 1800s to early 1900s)?

I guess a better question would be this: just how recent of a time period could work in this mod's overall format?

Yes.

http://modernity.fandom.com - this mod already has a presence of Steam.
http://interbellum.fandom.com

That latter one has had problems I am trying to fix, but never could really do it. Still, a derivative of it - to be done under the New World Empires tech tree system - is being considered. My only problem is the building styles, I am still trying to secure resources from Azangara but he isn't really cooperative.

I am also technically, the owner of A Wrong Turn, since I am the only remaining member from the original dev team for that mod.

As for your second question:

Not really, because this mod deals with a world that is trying to transition out of feudalism and experimenting with early modern state building, in case you didn't notice. Rise of the Moderns and Age of Darkness have building systems more suitable to that post-mediaeval, early industrial era. Having said that I AM also looking to build a mod that bridges the gap - somewhat - between Chronicles and Rise of the Moderns.

Add me on and we can discuss these in further detail.
