Outpost Effect Suggestions

Outposts should reduce upkeep for units within that province and increase the movement speeds of your characters and decrease the movement speed of enemy characters, much like dresdens Home movement Bonus mod. This should come at a cost of course, with options to ether increase the garrison if its a highly contested region at that time, or upgrade to increase gobal trade percentages to help with trade if its a region you conquered to open up new trade routes with other factions. So there should be like a base "Outpost", then you should be able to upgrade to a "Military Outpost" or "Trade Outpost" respectively depending on the needs. Ether way nice mod.

Hi, after doing some campaign with that mod I have a couple of suggestion that could help to make that mod a bit more usable.

The main problem I had with that mod was the fact that outpost were almost unusable because of their lack of public order bonus. This create some strange side effect, like the constant spawn of revolt who stays here permanently since they don't gain any money from looking the outpost.

Since an outpost isn't really supposed to have a "public", a zone controlled by an outpost shouldn't be under constant revolt, so they should have a strong PO bonus to prevent any revolt.

Other than that, I think outpost could be a bit more interesting if each of them could host a single building among the following:

- A fort (for the non capital outpost) providing a settlement wall and a small garrison.
- A hospital that give Casualty replacement rate bonus in the zone
- A temple that reduce corruption (or had vampiric corruption for the vampire)
- A barn that increase armies movement in the zone (I don't know if that possible tbh)

All these building should have an upkeep to make them situational and not a free bonus everywhere.

You could aslo ad a building that create money but with low profitability (with high building cost/Low productivity cost, or a long building time) that could make you a bit of money IF you can consistently guaranty their safety.

Thanks Nico for the feedback. I'll look into the public order thing.

As for your other suggestions regarding money making- it was actually something I wantedto do- but quickly realised that it would have been far too much work for me to realistically do and support.

Perhaps after the Norse update- things might change this situation though!

Public order should be set to 100% each turn and we're done here. It'd be perfect. Still, it's nice to see those minor factions keep popping up late in the game even though they inevitably get obliterated.

I was looking at the mod files and doing this is a bit over my head at the moment. :(

I changed the mod a bit, but really don't know what I'm doing. This seemed to happen, though, so maybe I'm on the right track?

I've added a total of ~74 entries and I'm still not done. I think I need to add DLC factions, too, since my Skarsnik faction doesn't seem to get Public Order 100, whereas the vanilla factions seem to.
