Characters unable to return to light/dark after using too many abilities of other side
So I don't know if this is a bug or what, but I have a character who I've had maxed out on all light side force powers (and neutral) but was still leveling up and so I started to give him the starter dark side powers. The problem is, since they were only the starter dark side powers he could use them fine, but after he used too much of them without using a light side power he went into the gray zone, and now he's unable to use ANY of his max level light side powers. He can still use the dark side ones because they're lvl 1, but can't progress anymore toward the light side because his skills are already maxed and is unable to use any of them. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

I just did. I wish I had read your post before trying this. Now I have Jedi-Sith marriage ;p Wondering what will happen next...
Maybe author wanted to say that once you turn to dark side, there's no way to get back? But we know from movies it's not true ;)

yup had this same problem myself. my thing is if it's too hard to be able to scale your skills back, make at least one skill in each tier not require alignment even at max. So like Self Heal and Force Rage for instance. make them at level 3 not have an alignment requirement that way in case you throw too many lightning bolts or heals around (depending on alignment) you still have an option to return to the side you are cultivating.

Figured out a solution for this -- if you go into development mode you're able to manually change a character's alignment. Hope this helps anyone!

More like workaround than solution, still useful. Was waiting quite long for anything that could help. Thanks :)

Can anyone explain HOW to change alignment in with development mode? I know how to get into development mode, but I'm having trouble figuring out what to click to force an alignment change.

Nevermind I figured it out: Turn on development mode, *then turn on god mode*. With god mode on there is a button next to the alignment slider that lets you increment a pawns alignment.
