Apparently some lame attempt at humor.
But hey, he paid the 100-dollar Direct fee, so Valve is okay with it. As long as we somehow cannot make this go public enough. Apparently, a Jim Sterling video was not enough.
In all seriousness, though, I think this particular case might fall under stupidity rather than malice. The award names are obviously fake, and right-clicking the image and opening it in a new tab shows it at full size, it's not hidden under a different file name or anything. It's plausible the dev didn't realize the image would be too small for the joke to come across and just never bothered to check. That said, I still flagged it, because even a genuine mistake ought to be fixed, and also fuck these games.
