Hey, I see the curator reviewed Em-8ER as "Troll game", but is there any more context about this? (Not saying it's not a troll game, just as a curator follower this feels a bit lacking information 😅)

Two games that were removed from Steam have been re-released under a different developer name. One reviewer says they were removed due to review manipulation, but I can't find any proof for or against that claim. Maybe someone else can dig down more.

According to the game's negative reviews, its Data Collection policy states the game sends quite a bit of information about players' PC to the developers, and cannot be completely opted out of. (For a 100% offline single player game.)

The players can choose between Limited and Full sharing mode, and even the Limited policy contains stuff like:

Summary:

The publishers NEOWIZ released the game called Bless about 5 times previously in different regions, with its latest shutdown being in NA less than a year after its launch. All of those times, the game suffered from continuous exploits and gamebreaking updates and bugs that were handled very poorly or never resolved.

After their NA failure, the gang decided to relaunch the game with Bandai Namco in the same world with a different gameplay system under the name Bless Unleashed, this time solely for Xbox. but history repeated itself and a quick look at their sub shows the game still having gamebreaking exploits, bugs, and updates.

Now it looks like its getting relaunched AGAIN on steam with the Unleashed tagline for I guess another attempt at a cash grab.

Just noticed it hasn't been mentioned here: according to reviewers the game installs an anti-cheat kernel driver (for a single player game!) in the Windows folder that runs even when the game is not running, and sometimes doesn't get removed when the game is uninstalled.
