If you wish to buy for 1 ref, be my guest. Nobody will sell to you though when others are paying much higher. You said he's "obviously" gonna resell without checking or providing any proof, that's merely an assumption from your part. Some people just refuse to aknowledge the fact that prices change over time, same mindset of people who want keys to be 2.66 like they were a year ago. Isn't it easier to ignore such a trade than get annoyed over it? Sooner or later they will be forced to change their price anyway.

I do not understand why people have an issue with this, it's called keybanking and it's a common practice. If you need to convert your currency in another you might not find a trader right away, but there always will be keybankers which is good for everyone. If you can't be bothered to buy/sell keys yourself then you go to a keybanker, expect a bit of loss though (usually 1 scrap below/above average price). Ask yourself, what would be the point of them buying and selling for the same price? (other than free rep)

There was no date back then but regardless of that, I had several accounts created on the same day. On some of them I activated The Ship pack but not on all of them since I didn't have enough copies laying around and it's not that I logged in on some accounts and forgot to log on the others, so that Steam Guard would only get activated at a later time, because I was constantly trying to trade with them every couple of days for more than a month. After 15 days I could trade normally with the accounts that had The Ship pack activated but not with the others. I didn't contact support but I did mention this "bug" in several threads, some dev might have noticed it.

Either way I think we've derailed this topic enough. To the OP, if you're still in need of a Dota 2 invite, add me and I'll give you one for free.

Yes the Steamguard icon was green and said it's enabled, and I logged in several times over the span of a few weeks just to check if I'm able to trade already.

I'd only get the "X is not available to trade. More information will be shown to X if they invite you to trade." message.

EDIT: It's also worth noting that on the same day I created other accounts that I activated a game on, and I was able to trade with those without any problem.

The Community Market was introduced 2012-12-12.

From my personal experience. The alts I created back in december I couldn't trade with in january either (after more than 30 days), until I activated a Dota 2 invite and waited another 15 days.

I did report this to Valve, so whether it was fixed since then I don't know. All I know is that I wasn't the only one who complained that they couldn't trade after 15 days (most of them had only played f2p games). Upgrading to premium Steam fixed my problem.
