Sure the large portion of user base isn't bothered about this. But not because they care for privacy but because they are already donators and they don't care

You don't go complain about IRL companies not exposing their business decisions. You just accept them, and if you don't like them you move on. We have no obligation to disclose any private information.

This should work if people watch their accounts more closely for any unrecognized logins. Otherwise it will only delay the problem for 2 weeks.
