1.5.4 came and fixed the graphical issue, so I can play again. The game could still use an optimization run but it's not as bad as it was at least, and all my attempts to make the game run better when it flat out didn't run did up my FPS now that it does.

Just add the newer soundtracks to the OST bundle, rework ogryn, add a melta weapon and I'll have a lot less to complain about.

Keeps crashing on linux, not fun to lose a 40 minutes run to poor coding that will never get fixed.

I got this for free from a pack I don't even remember buying and I still feel ripped off.
Effervescent? Really? Just slap a lol so random rainbow shine on a gun, buff it's stats and call it done. Worse than pearls.
All enemies are balanced around staying in a gas cloud (that kills you) so they all have too much HP even in places where the gas isn't easily available. Soloing with Zer0 was unfun hell.
Hector's paradise has the same paintjob as Hornet.
Costs more than the other DLCs but has maybe a third of the content and at most a passing whiff of any effort.

tl;dr
Want to read wani? Read snootgame.
Have read snootgame? Read Katawa.
Read both and want more? Give wani a shot. There's not much of that quality left and it's probably the next best thing.

I bought this because I liked snootgame. I don't care for the girls in either story, I'm only interested in the quality of the stories themselves.
Comparing the two, wani doesn't even stand close; It has little bite, most of the characters are weaker and simplified, effort spent on somewhat cringeworthy animations could have been spent elsewhere (When the Mia clip started, it felt like I was watching an unfocused fever dream) and the story lost most of it's stakes halfway in.
I got the 4th ending on my first then went halfway into the 3rd, but had no interesting in seeing the rest.
Compared to snootgame which I read through an entire single night and completed all the endings the day after.
Olivia's arc has none of the depth of Fang's arc, and the latter was also heavily involved with the rest of the main group while in the former, interactions between them were just sprinkled around in between Olivia's main plot points.
Iadakan was awesome, but other than him no character adds to the main route as much as Nasar did in snootgame.
I had a feeling it will go in this direction since the first game couldn't possibly be published anywhere and the first time I even heard of wani was when I saw it on steam, really.
I do recommend it because I don't feel like I regret reading it, which has happened before, but in my mind I've paid for snootgame.

Is it better than what it was at launch? Yes.
Did the devs stick with the game despite the garbage launch when they could have taken the cash and run? Yes.
Did they add most of what they promised and much, much more? Yes.
Is the game still mostly a chore to play, half the mechanics feel pointless and/or unfinished, whatever end goal you decide on is unappealing and most of the new content is just window-dressed re-skinning? Also yes.
It's good for when you're too mentally exhausted and lack even a single active brain cell to play anything better, but so is watching paint dry.

It's like eating paste; Maybe you'll get some nutritional value from it, but I sure as hell won't recommend it.

TL;DR, if you're here for the story, skip this one.

It has the needlessly complicated combat design of a PM game.
It has the incredibly confusing hints of a PM game.
It has the grindy nature of a PM game, only even more this time duo to being a gacha game.
What it lacks is a good story, which is the only real reason people that aren't masochists play their games.

At least up to chapter 3, the story is the worst in any PM entry, both in themes and how it's presented.
Pretentious writing for the sake of wordiness, current-year lingo written in the style of 'game translators' (though I don't know if the source material is any better), and several cases of "show don't tell".

In LoR, the whole reveal behind W corp's warp trains was gradual, showing the player every step of it through brief story sections and gameplay.
In Limbus, the truth behind J corp's singularity is just told to you in a cutscene by the "I am smartest" character, followed by multiple instances where it's shown and told to the player what it does... again.

The names of the sinners are at most dressing and at worst made for clickbait youtube videos.
I have no idea what in Gregor's story in Chapter 1 has anything to do with Kafka's "The metamorphosis" besides almost coincidental similarities (They mentioned apples once!) even though he was based on it, down to his name. (Besides the fact he was turned into a bug, I guess)

The one part where an unnamed gang boss with a robotic body gets squashed by a hydraulic press is obviously made to look like Tipheret's death in LC, which is in poor ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ taste.
Comparing some random scum that leads a gang of fatasses that swear a lot to the tragic circumstances of Tipheret feels like a slap in the face for anyone who actually cares for the story.
The entirety of the second chapter felt like a comedy routine, almost like a slightly edgy SoL anime. You tell me if that ever came to mind when you thought of PM's writing.

I know the dull combat might be changed, I know all the bugs and QoL problems will be fixed, I know PM cares.
But I'm here for the story, and the story sucks. Unless they pull an LC and retranslate the entire script, I don't see the point in playing.

You will never experience the golden age of this game again, no matter how long you keep playing, shill for the incompetent devs or pay.
The only winning move is not to play.

Update: 90$ limited time bundle with TWO skins in it L M A O.
