AI is predictable and the game runs at a slow pace. I also had to kick my girlfriend out because she beat me. - 1/10

Probably the most fun i've had playing Total War is just trying to complete the Grand Campaign as every faction.

Rome is the the best faction militarily, obviously.

Macedonia's campaign is the most fun.

Egypt and Iceni because chariots.

Rome 2 is worth your time.

Actually a semi-decent Chess game and it's free! I can't say i have too many complaints about this title, perhaps the AI could be a little smarter but for a free title, this games checks all the boxes.

This game sucks like a 10 dollar ♥♥♥♥♥.

Would pop a Viagra again

911 hours in and I'm still learning about this game.

The scary thing about Elite Dangerous is Frontier Developments are still releasing content 4 years since it's initial release date and this just makes my original statement more impressive the longer time passes. I think this is the greatest strength in Elite's design from a technical standpoint, a literal expanding universe set in space. What else could you ask from Frontier in a space sim?

Lets cover some of the games aspects -

Combat is incredibly intuitive and most of the ships handle like a dream, if you give PVP a try, make sure you have spend plenty of time engineering your ship of choice in advance. Without it you’ll find yourself out of your depth very quickly.

Trade is incredibly fun when you play with friends doing "wing missions", not to mention profitable. Trading is also a great way to explore the galaxy with the introduction of Passenger missions.

Exploration is extremely fun and in depth. As you would expect from a game the actual size of the galaxy it can be extremely time consuming. Passenger missions would also fall under exploration as well as trade IMO and they can net you some easy money. Check it out.

Mining has several aspects to explore, surface and deep core mining. Though mining is not my favorite method of making money i feel i must point out that i have yet to try out the new deep core mining that apparently it is very profitable, perhaps I'll update my review when i do get round to it.

Pirating and bounty hunting are possibly my favorite aspect of the game, of my 850 hours i would say about half of that has been enjoying these two aspects of the game. Even though they're not the most profitable ways to spend time in Elite i just can't stop myself going back repeatedly for hundreds of hours.

In summary -

Elite is a solid 5/5 for me simply because of the bang for your buck, even if you hate half of the game, you're still looking at hundreds of hours of solid fun gameplay. They've really fleshed out the controls properly and you really feel like a space pilot. The ever expanding galaxy through the games updates keep it feeling fresh and not stagnant or abandoned. Frontier have even gone back and polished of every system before moving forwards. Elite earns every single one of the 5*'s out of 5, despite it's flaws, simply because of the sheer volume of quality game on offer.

Great Job Frontier, Keep up the great work and I'll keep coming back for more!

Early Access Review - One day this game could be great, but only time will tell how devoted the devlopment team is going to be. Ultimatly i can recommend this game in it's current state since what's already here is certainly impressive, possibly even invovative.

Before i played Layers of Fear i would sometime pass the afternoon scribbling down drawings.

After playing Layers of Fear i can barely look at a scribble book again.
