It's alright, but I am mostly waiting for the feature of buying subsidiaries. It's a little thing, but that splice-of-life feature adds to amassing a monopoly.

This has to be the most poorly optimized game that I have ever played. I own Kenshi. Oftentimes before purchase, I will scour reviews and read negative reviews about performance, bugs, etc. However, when I play the game I never encounter the same problems they have. Enter CK3, this absolute slog of a game.

Simply loading to the menu takes 20 minutes. Bugs that have been "patched" still exist and break saves. Being stuck while travelling comes to mind. Quit to menu? No, you're quitting to the Shadowrealm because it WILL crash. My last negative review was for another set of bugs. Namely, being unable to finish a war because there was no resolution after 100% warscore. Furthermore, this game consumes WAY too much memory for nothing. No mods, just vanilla will put me up anywhere between 8-16 gigabytes of memory, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why.

I can run and play the best games out there on the highest settings. But CK3? Oh, no no. CK3 resides on the precipice of computer hardware, unfathomable to my puny mind. I swear half of my hours are just loading into this damn game.

Good game, people have touched on which aspects excel in their reviews. I just wish that the buff/nerfs had literally ANYTHING to do with which characters are dominating the meta. For instance, the warrior class is predetermined to be good, with a 90% pick/ban rate, which shows in games. The game will eventually nerf a select amount of characters, which seemed to be played the most, the warrior included.

However, the sniper class, which was picked often in the games I played in, only ended up having a measly 33% win rate, yet it was still nerfed. I had hoped it wouldn't be, as it had no reason to be nerfed. I kind of figured that it would be, considering the players select a small few characters that will probably get nerfed, regardless of that character's performances in the game.

Hopefully, the predetermined nerfs will become associated with the actual win/loss rate of the character in the future.

Remove the "too far" range and you have a good game. If you don't want us to be far, make smaller rooms. There is no indication of being far, not even when you line up your crosshair on an enemy.

Not many gladiatorial management games on the market.

Hold off on the game for now. The game is good, I'll probably change my review, but it's not really in a playable state as of this moment. Yes, you can play it, but you cannot manage, which defeats the purpose of a tycoon. You CAN build some nice things, with the little things they added in so far, however.

There are many game-breaking bugs too, which are being addressed, but as of THIS MOMENT those bugs can really ruin your experience. Just one example: Starting on a remote island. You can't. I mean, you could, but expanding out of that island will not happen, as all of your players die during fast travel. I found a work-around, but it's really just better not to do so.

Another thing is that you cannot break up your zone into multiple instances. As in, you cannot have multiple buildings that serve the same purpose on either side of the map. All of the players will gravitate towards one side, but after the inns fill up (where the player logs off and reconnects to the server), then they will go to the other side. The players complain about the overcrowding issue, but the players make no effort to relocate themselves.

Perhaps the biggest detriment to the game is the "negative buzz". What does it do? Good question. I don't know, but it is the driving factor as to why your players are discontent and are unsubscribing. The problem is that, you cannot see WHY it is accumulating points. You are more than welcome to guess, but there is no concrete way of actually knowing.

Finally, the last thing I have discovered is that the players sometimes, just unsubscribe in masses. I don't know why, and as I've mentioned, neither does negative buzz.

I've only played six hours since posting this review, and I have already found so many issues. I am sure there are many more.

I recommend to save your money, until the bugs and issues have been squashed.
