Another game that is more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than fun unfortunately.

The game looks and sounds good, controls are fine, but that's about it.

-Story is minimal, you talk with your ship, a boss will sometimes chat with you a little bit, that's it.
-There is no explanation on why you revive after deaths, you just do.
-Enemies will stagger you in the air and make you fall to instant death, but you can't stagger them, unless you block their melee attack.
-Enemies will shoot through walls, but you can't.
-There is a platform monster that you must hit so that it will move, if you fall off you are dead because there is not another one that will follow, but instead of an instant death you must wait for chip damage to kill you.
-You just faced a boss? You will probably have a second combat with 2 of the bosses you just fought in a few rooms, great way to make it seem like there is more boss fights.

Started a game, an enemy was waiting for me with a wand that had the nuke spell.

Apparently there is a story and NPC quests.
I did not find any of them but I enjoyed the game.

The game is fun but it is short. I finished the game in 2.5 hours restarted 1 level.
The game feel like something you should play on the same computer with friends, like in the good old days, unfortunately I had nobody available to join me.
I tried matchmaking but after maybe 10 minutes I had nobody joining my game, so I played and completed the all alone... I did not cry because I am a big boy.
I had 0 crash, no issue other than flickering on quest tiles on the world map before completing the quests, after the flickering is gone.

Music is mostly good, I really hated the song for the first Shredder fight.
Graphics are nice, no slowdowns, no glitches other than the one I mentioned.
Hidden NPC's and collectables are really hard to miss since there is a significant difference in the BG sprites and the ones you can destroy.
There is no voice acting in the cut scenes but there are voices for some moments. Not sure why they could not do the cut scenes. Also Shredder sounds really dumb.
Unfortunately there is no 21*9 video mode
Movement felt bad going up and down, you can only dash left and right, the skateboard sections didn't felt good.

I played the game on Ubuntu 22.04, Ryzen 9 3900X, 2080 Super, 128GB of RAM on a NVME drive in 1440P.

I have been playing the demo for about 2 hours, I am enjoying it. Looking forward to the full game release

It is a fun game, it looks great, I didn't experience any crash or bugs, but there are balance issues, the music is forgettable and the story is interesting with a lot of lore. I would love to see more of that universe, as a second game or as DLC..

I have seen people saying it is Diablo in a cyberpunk setting. Not really. There is no real depth to the game, it is more a twin stick shooter than an action RPG. Yes you have some gear but you cannot customize it, you can only upgrade weapons if you have enough of components, but that's it. You also don't have a class, well your class is Indent, that's it.
There is a good variety of weapons, but I ended up using the same 2 guns for most of the game.

Armor, I always went for the highest defense, the "elemental" defense didn't seem to matter much when I tested it.

The RPG elements are limited, you get some XP, gain a level, use the 3 skill points you get to upgrade stats. (some stats are really OP compared to others)

You have a few skills that you equip, 2 uses energy, the third one charges by fighting stuff, there is an interesting variety but past a certain point you will be forced to use a certain skill to be able to complete quests, without it will be extremely difficult to progress.

I really enjoyed the story, but there is a big problem, when you get calls or when your IMP talks to you, often you are in combat and cannot hear anything you are told and since you are in combat, reading the text can be deadly.

Combat generally is simple, you can shoot, duck and shoot, raise your gun to shoot high, roll and use skills.
You will probably never duck and shoot.
Sometimes you will remember to use your skills, most fights can be completed without using any skill, even boss fights.
But, some fights are total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. After exiting a taxi I met a nice giant mech that instantly killed me. Yay...
One thing I found stupid about the combat is that there is often 1 to 5 dudes doing nothing, if you aggro them BAM the city is like a clown car! Enemies jump out of flying vehicles, they climb up from super deep pits, they come out of all the doors in a 5KM radius, they jump off of rooftops, I think one also came out of a cake. The city being a clown car also means that sometimes you can be completely be overwhelmed by enemies, I was 5 levels over the group I was fighting, but because there were 2 dudes with heat seeking missiles I could not win.

Decent and not expensive game that will keep you busy for a few hours, but it feel like there should be more

Also, there's a demo, more games should have demos

It's an ok game, but it feels like it is a mobile game that was ported to PC.
