This is just more ace combat. I love it. I appreciate that you can play it in VR, that's rad.

Probably my favorite swarm game. Lots of nice details, fun mechanics, plays well. Great to pick up for a few minutes if time is scarce.

Excellent. I love it, I'm so happy they had the actual actresses voicing their avatars. It's a good experience. Definitely need to watch the show again. For like the 9th time.

I am BEGGING you, dev... please don't stop production on this. Please, please....

In the 2.5 hours I played, I went through the demo, played free flight (decent, land, orbit, dock, decent, land, launch into highly ecliptic orbit), and did 1 mission so far.

It was some of the most boring gameplay I've ever had, and I loved every second of it. Because spacecraft. It's so well engineered, and obviously has incredible amounts of love poured into this game. There's a LOT of work to do, and if wasn't for my knowledge of orbital mechanics, it would have been even more difficult, but I still enjoyed this very much.

Please don't stop. This reminds me of early KSP. The gameplay loop is STRONG, but just needs little extras and doodads to make it more accessible.

EDIT: Rest in peace.

This is following closely in the footsteps of KSP1. Meaning; they're starting from the ground up. That being said, a lot of systems have already been implemented and implemented well, too. Especially over the last year. It's night and day in difference from Feb 24th and Dec 27th.

I will always support KSP, but that being said, they have A LOT of work to do. If you're craving for a more complete KSP experience, give it a little time and/or pick up the first one. But they have done a great job and continue to do so.

EDIT: I restarted the game and ignored the main story completely. I am enjoying it a lot more now. But still... feels off. Wait for a sale.

Jeez... I wanted to like this SO MUCH. On paper, for me, everything said; "Captain Papi, this game was pretty much made specifically for you." In reality, I can sum this game up in one sentence;

The entire experience feels like eating four day old pizza that's been sitting in the fridge.

The following is a rant;

I felt like I accomplished nothing in the game. And they made so many (in-game) systems so overly complex. I mean, for example; the atmospheric protection stuff; how high do I need to get my number for it to be "good?" What do the numbers even mean? What is 10? Is it 10 seconds of protection? How long do I know my protection lasts? It just tells me I got herpes because I stood outside for an arbitrary amount of time. Why do I have to gain levels, spend perk points, to unlock the ability to unlock the ability to unlock the suppressor (for example)? I finished the game at like level 25 and the star system of the last mission was rated level 70. Why is the very first place you visit, pretty much the biggest city in the damn game? You're immediately inundated with 40 side-side quests (they're so minor, they're called activities) because you overhear a cop talk about how someone is looking at a tree funny. There are so few quests that feel even remotely connected to the world and story, that I didn't ever feel like doing them. It was just busy work, like worthless speed bumps in the entire universe. Speaking of; the story tried SO HARD to be 2001: A Space Odyssey and it just ended up being Mystery Science Theater 3000, but not funny. Frankly, almost every single thing the game tried to do; it fell flat on its face. Just straight up.

It does look good tho...

This last bit is a personal gripe;
I started writing a book in 2016, a space opera, and it basically has Starfield's grav jumps in it. How they function, and all that is different, but the main idea is more or less the same. Which my thoughts were solidified on when an audio recording in-game said something along the lines of "we can bring the outer systems right to us," in regards to how grav jumps work. So if I ever finish this stupid book, I feel like it'll always be compared to Starfield.

I felt about this game the same exact way I felt about Risk of Rain 2. The original had a great idea in 2D, and it was unforgivably hard (for me). ROR2 and Gunhead did an absolutely PERFECT transition from 2D into 3D. I love it. And I actually was able to beat it lol.

Great job fellas. Def gonna play this more than Cryptark, no offence :P
