this is what assassin's creen shadows should be.
A rather fresh take on open world titles a la ubisoft.

pretty good, ngl
although you can see the original games' shortcomings, just to a lesser extend.

far from perfect but overall good.
Performant with decent graphics, sound design and soundtrack.

I'd imagine it to be quite overwhelming for new players but I think the tutorial is decent. I mean, the existence of smaller campaigns takes a lot of that overwhelming aspect away so at least there is that.
I dislike the dlc policy and that you have to buy part 1 and 2 to get access to all factions. Don't get me wrong, I get that supporting the games as well as CA does takes a lot of cash but jeez 25 bucks for new content? 9 Euros for a single lord? That's really steep.

Once again I'd wish for more accurate options than "recommend: yes or no"

This game has lots of potential and was fun in the end but there are dozends of imperfections.
Bugs that apparently never have been adressed even in 2024.
Combat is a bit repetetive and way too easy but fun, a bit more fleshed out but also easier than in AC Unity. The fighting animations are fine but nothing special imo.
All of the equipment feels like the worst and most uninteresting rpg mechanics I've ever seen. Who cares about 10% more damage with that weapon type (out of 2 weapon type choices) because of your outfit? How does that even work?? I dont get it and am also not interested in that at all.
The quality of missions mixed, some are fun and thought out but most of them are repetetive and pretty brainless "go there, do that, go there, done" and that just doesnt advocate for Syndicate being a good game.
Story missions and the story in general are similar. The dynamic between the siblings was interesting in the beginning but quickly became annoying, since Jacob is pretty much written as an idiot whose mistakes always have to be fixed later on. Meanwhile Evie is a woman therefore she obviously has to get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ love story because oh of course she does. At least her brain mostly operates on a logical basis.

Graphics are pretty good although I'd really like to talk to the person who thought it was a good Idea to limit clothing rendering to 30 fps.
That in addition to London being a fantastic setting (although I would've liked a bit more realism in factories) definitely helped in getting a recommendation from me. Exploring industrial London is pretty much the most fun I've had in the game. I've explored the map wayy before completing the story since that definitely was mediocre.

Get it on sale if you liked previous assassins creeds, it's certainly not worth the 40 bucks.

good game, especially when playing it with friends
decent combat and content for 20+ hours

The bosses were a bit repetetive (one, then two and the third boss were 3 giant snakes?? Wow, such creativity.
Also, I think its pretty sad how classes are treated in this game. At least for me and my friends everything magical seemed very useless to a point where no matter what class you chose, physical damage weapons are just better dps wise.
Weapons, armour, rings and buffs for magic weaponry is pretty uncommon and it felt bad choosing wizardry.

what remains is a fun game nevertheless, combat is fine, crafting is decent, sound design is okay, graphics are a solid 9/10.

TL; DR: 7/10. Do I think it's worth the money? Yes, especially on sale.

What CDPR did to early buyers is not okay at all.
While the game is clearly in a playable state now and bugs have become much less common the devil is in the details, afterall.
Whilst playing cyberpunk I always came back to comparing it to GTA V probably since that's the most similar game I've played. The lack of small details and little things that should've been taken care of pulled me out of the experience numerous times.
Driving feels off and I can't really pin it, I think just doesn't feel realistic enough. Other cars don't seem to drive anywhere or have a destination. You rarely see parked ones. Other drivers barely react when you hit their vehicle.
NPCs feel so lifeless and designed without love. Obviously the graphics are decent but most npcs seem to be placed, walking nowhere or sitting there in a predetermined dialog with another person. In GTA, a 10 y/o game people seem to care more about what other npcs or the player do which takes me out of the experience so quickly.

Idk, it was fun to play and some aspects of it are a fresh breath, but I can't seem to really dive into the world of cyberpunk.

The games potential is huge but that's it, sadly. What remains sits between decent and mediocre.
