A nice little game for one evening. Runs well, has an interesting map and is a trip down the memory lane to the times when we used forums and talked to one another instead of praticipating in social media cancer.

Devs, please make more.

A little gem. Interesting story, with many aspects realistic (I'll say no more because of spoilers). A good marriage of 2,5D with first person. Doesn't overstay its welcome and was a ton of fun. Puzzles weren't annoying.

Definitely worth getting if you like the 70s, retrofuturism and good stories.

Short, simple, sweet. Not too much combat, no overly complicated puzzles. Relaxing music. A tad annoying characters.

A good choice if you're looking for something relaxing for 1-2 evenings.

It's a fresh take on the survival game genre and one of the positive gaming surprises of 2024. I love how the game mixes driving the car, maintaining and improving on it (basically, it serves as a mobile secondary mini-base, your steed, and a (not always) trusty companion) with on-foot exploration. You can also do some visual customizations! Paint, decals, decorations - there are a lot of them to find.

The acting is really good and I think the actors fit their characters well. The story is decent although not groundbreaking. The feel of the zone is well-matching with the game's story although the biomes could use a bit more variety. Different weather patterns and time of day can also result in some stunning vistas and wallpaper-worthy screenshots.

Levels are hand-crafted with randomly generated elements - you get the best of both worlds.

- A lot of config options allowing you to tailor the experience to your liking. You like time pressure? No problem. Prefer a more laid-back, exploration-focused approach? Possible. Want invulnerability for totally zero-stress exploration? Also possible.
- The tech tree is interesting and varied - but it could use some work as I think many things in the farther part of the tree are worse stuff you unlock earlier.
- For the love of all that's unholy devs, please increase spawn rate of olympium... Otherwise it's effectively something you use after finishing the story and many people won't play after that point (and miss out on experiencing fully decked-out car).
- Two separate FOV sliders (one for on-foot movement, another for the car) - I LOVE IT. More games should do that.
- The game supports ultrawide (21:9 and 32:9), but by default, it doesn't deal well with YFOV on these resolutions - easily fixable with a tiny modification in a config file.

Yet another wonderful find-a-cat from Devcats. Well worth your time if you like such casual games, graphics is as always adorable and everthing just works. Plus a very nice soundtrack!

This is one of the good games. There's a lot of variety (minigames), beautiful stylized graphics that doesn't turn your GPU into a jet engine, relaxing soundtrack and nice characters. Overall this was one of the positive gaming surprises of this year for me - and definitely worth a try.

A nice, relaxing game that's focused solely on mining - nice variety of resources, attention to detail, a pleasant thing to decompress after work. Co-op included so you can drill some dirt with your buddies. If you liked Motherlode you should get it. If you liked Steamworld Dig but were annoyed by the monsters - the same.

There are various mechs you can upgrade (sadly no visual customisation), multiple player characters to pick from and humorous dialogues.

The game supports atypical ultrawide resolutions out of the box (21:9 and 32:9) - no hacks / ini edit needed.

For me personally the music doesn't really fit the game but it isn't bad - but I like to listen to podcasts playing such games anyway so overall it's not relevant.

Additional huge plus: the dev is very responsive - fixes bugs and improves stuff very fast.

And to sum it up - the game is also priced very well (worth the full price too!) - especially for amount of fun it brings. It's an example why indie games are the future of this type of entertainment (not cash-grabby, unoptimized and greedy AAA games). Support good devs and nice games, get this one :)

If you like jest planes and jet engines get this game - guaranteed to turn your GPU into one! My 3080Ti sure did, now I can be Maverick.

Optimisation currently sucks and the game should have been either delayed or released as an early access - and get a huge, red warning about the fact that it utilises 100% of GPU even on an empty map.

When they fix it I'll update the review but the practice of releasing totally unoptimised games (or poorly optimised and counting on DLSS to bridge the gap) is abhorrent and a cancer of current AAA gaming.

10/10 would sacrifice dissenters again.

A mix of Animal Crossing with a tad of Binding of Isaac and a light citybuilder. There's a lot of stuff to do - and sometimes you feel the in-game days are too short to do it all but at least it doesn't get boring. There's also a fishing minigame.

This game probably isn't something you'll sink hundreds of hours into but it's a wonderful summer title or something to relax with after a day of work. You can name it after your gaming clan or friends and make it again or pus some unliked co-workers and SACRIFICE THEM for the glory of the cult ]:->

Additional plus are the devs who are very active and responsive on the steam forums and they patched out really fast the problems found by the gamers. On top of that the game will still be developed and new things will be added.

This is the standard that other roguelites should aspire to achieve. The grind isn't obnoxious, the story is wonderful, the graphics beautiful, sound and music - awesome. On top of that it'll run nice on most pcs. I really wish there were more games like Hades.
