Easily one of the best aRPGs I've ever had pleasure to play. Lots of possible builds - what's more lots of viable builds, dual classing (more fun IMO than in Titan Quest), superb developer which keeps improving the game, DLCs worth buying.

Even at a full price well worth buying!

It's a travesty that this product bears the Fallout name. It's also a travesty, that they use such a crappy, antiquated excuse for a game engine. Fallout New Vegas at least had the story and climate to show for shortcomings. Don't get me wrong - the game isn't a total piece of junk. But I absolutely don't recommend purchase for reasons below, unless it's deeply discounted (and even then - get a GOTY if the price cut is at least -75%)

My biggest problems are:

• Doesn't work in ultrawide (2560x1080 & 3440x1440). Mods don't fix the problem entirely because in 3440x1440 hud gets borked up. Get a new engine and quit pretending it isn't still gamebryo because you call it 'creation engine' or somesuch. It sucks, it's ancient, you're big enough to be able to conduct the change finally.
  
• Creation Club. Don't even get me started. Dear Bethesda, would you kindly take your paid mods and shove them where the sun doesn't shine? Thanks.
  
• Gutted dialog system. Seriously? In a "RPG" game? You should market it as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shooter instead.
  
• If you do generated sidequests this Minutemen ♥♥♥♥ was funny first 3 times. Later on it became a meme.
  
• Like every other Bethesda "RPG" these last few years it's wide as an ocean and shallow as a puddle. The main storyline is weak. Look at F1, F2 and FNV and make it better next time. Oh wait, you're making a multiplayer hell-knows-what now (cue facepalm).
  
• Get your ♥♥♥♥ together. Once again community had to make a mod that is a community patch and still you don't include it in an update to the game.
  
• Extraordinarily extortionate price for a season pass which contains low and mediocre quality content (except Far Harbor and Automatron). Even on Steam Sale price difference between Season Pass and GOTY version is ridiculous. Way to show a loyal fan of the brand that buying on release is NOT the way to go. I certainly won't purchase another of your games until there's a GOTY version and on a heavy discount to boot.

On a plus - big world you can see with you own eyes, no icky green filter present in F3. Interesting weapon generation mechanic. Extremely moddable as usual. Combat is fun. But I have a lot of other games with better FPS combat so why would I play this especially for this reason?

A love letter to Diablo 1 - yet with fresh ideas and interesting card mechanic. Scalable playtime is an awesome idea and papercraft-styled graphics will look good for a long time. Also stable and delivering lots of fun - more Early Access titles should be done with such amount of love and care.

Fast, fun, bloody, brutal, brilliant. A strong candidate for my personal Game of the Year and a hands down winner in FPS category.

Well worth the full price.

Only reason for a negative review: microtransactions.
Developers promised the game wouldn't have them. Yet lo and behold: here they are.

This is the surefire way to piss off your customers - just lie to them...

I'm editing the review to reflect changes in TOS/EULA. You don't get to steal my data and dictate what I can or can't do when playing single-player.

Such crap should be illegal and I hope EU finally does something with sleazes like Take2.

A good addition to the franchise. Can't wait for another one :)
