Another beneficiary of the global culture war. Because it's being hailed as a "based" game, it's good. No, it's not good. It's very average and not worth your money overall. First off, tyranids make for terribly boring enemies. Then, every mission is the same. The combat system is clunky as hell, so play it on easy because anything else is a mess. While there are some nice one liners and the writing is good, and the game runs superbly, the sheer repetitiveness of it makes it a dubious choice at best. Since I've already put nearly 20 hours into it, can't say it not recommended, but tread carefully before paying.

Hundreds of hours across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Love this game. Worth it for the performances, story, music, and atmosphere. New Bourdeaux ranks among the most believable and livable places in games, right up there with St. Denis and Night City. Yes, this one is very political and proto "woke", but since it was made in the early to mid 2010s and released 2016, they didn't go full hog and the result is an excellent setup.

Mediocre Soulsbourne that would get zero attention if it wasn't from China and supposedly anti "woke". And I'm as anti "woke" as they come. This is a 6/10 if there ever was one. Avoid unless you want to make a statement.

Ten years later this is still one of the best video games ever made. Sad that it never got a sequel or a follow up. Grab it before it gets blasted into digital oblivion. Excellent mood, atmosphere, and visuals that still hold up, not to mention endless references to Alien/Aliens/Blade Runner and a few awesome plot twists.

Fun little building placer. Obvious nod to Blade Runner with excellent mood and music, and looks good. But building variety is limited and there isn't much to do. You just place buildings and mess with their height and angle to find out the rules as you go along and unlock various extras for your city. That city is quite small, though, but looks cool and very much like LA November 2019. This isn't a city builder or manager, do not expect a cyberpunk Frostpunk.

Only recommended if you like really difficult crafting roguelites. Graphics are nothing special (looks very much like Firewatch with a car), and the Tales from the Loop/Tales from the Flood-esque atmospheric marketing is nowhere to be found in the game itself.

While it is just a walking sim with clunky movement and no fast/run button, Fort Solis still looks great and has a lot of atmosphere, no pun intended. If you enjoy haunted house walking sims and the mood of "being on Mars", then it's a good time for sure. Do note that the PC version on a 4090 doesn't look or run any better than the PS5 version, which is odd. It also doesn't play nice with DLSS, frame generation, Reflex etc., but does run fine overall, just no better than the console version.

Like Control but without a trace of technical competence or quality. Waste of time and money, no matter how much you pay, even if it's free. Less than ten minutes played. We really should remember that life is too short for this kind of shovelware.

Definite game of the year contender. It's been a very tough one for me personally, and feels like an age has passed since this released. An amazing game you can really lose yourself into for hours on end if you have the time, and all the controversy (to me) now seems silly and petty. There's nothing hateful about Hogwarts Legacy, it's just a solid game with a superbly fun gameplay loop that runs awesome on PC.

Good stuff. Oddly reminiscent of 2007's The Darkness with Robo instead of Jacky. Of course without the horror aspect, but the semi-open world, multiple mission design is very similar. Recommended!
