Yes, it's FEAR. The AI is excellent. The graphics are very average. There's no aim down sights on purpose, which is fine. On hard it's quite challenging. All sounds OK, but it also doesn't have the cool story and characters from FEAR, and is ridiculously overpriced. Wait for a sale.

Deteriorates very quickly into hit detection stealth nightmare that's neither fun no especially challenging, just play by rote and hope whatever input device you're using is accurate enough.

So if it works for you despite Ubisoft Connect's many problems, then this is by far the best Far Cry ever. Ten years later it looks gorgeous, has an amazing gameplay loop, great acting performances, and a really interesting setting. The PC version (other than third party launcher issues) runs very well, so there's that too.

While it's clear a lot of people have problems with this port, maybe I got lucky. Other than the initial shader compile that took over an hour, it's been running very well save for some minor v-sync issues. Having completed TLOU six or seven times on PS3, PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS5, this is hands down the ultimate version. The PS5 version doesn't look anywhere near as nice as this one, and the PC port goes up to 120 fps on my system. Highly recommended but the reports of issues as of this writing can't be ignored.

This isn't a grand strategy game or a city manager like Surviving Mars. It's a turn based card game with very compelling gameplay and relatively balanced management. Your goal is to succeed on Mars, and each game take about an hour to 90 minutes. It's a lot of fun, and you unlock new cards and leaders as you level up. If you expect a bigger scale you'll be let down, but as it is, this is a really good game.

Feels wrong to leave a bad review of a sentimental story of a boy longing for his mother, but this interactive graphic novel is just plain boring. I'm sorry, there's no getting around it. Perhaps that was the point, but I couldn't get passed more than 20 minutes of this, even knowing it's just one hour or so long.

Pointlessly hard and burdened with an idiotic control scheme. Only redeeming facet is that they had the balls to release a game in 2023 that's set in a Hong Kong that doesn't have any Chinese people. Unless you care about that, avoid this dumpster fire.

There's no getting around this, Forspoken is a very decent if not even good open world action RPG. It has occasional crashes as of this writing but otherwise runs very well. Am supposed to dislike Ella Balinska because she's a bit tan? I think she's good in this. The action is very nice, the world has lots of stuff to do, if a little repetitive. This is a mix of Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter, Horizon Zero Dawn, and even Red Dead Redemption. The result is a very solid 8/10.

Obvious Returnal clone that if indeed made by one person, is quite impressive. Of course low budget and it shows, but most things work just fine, and it almost feature to feature identical to Returnal. Does have difficulty settings and proper saving it seems, plus the story may be better than Returnal's. Janky but not bad.

Roguelite that's very similar to Hades, but loosely based on Chinese mythology. If you like this style, then this one works well with high production values and decent gameplay. Not amazing, but good.
