arsing around in space as a void bastard is a lot of fun, collecting stuff and shooting weird space zombies never gets boring.

Really good at making me want to play Batman Arkham City

Hugely disappointing. While it looks nice and has a heck of a lot less bugs than previous Bethesda games, Fallout 4 comes across as a bland, by-the-numbers first person shooter. It's not marketed as one, apparently its an RPG, but its an FPS.
There are very few quest solutions that are solvable without just shooting everything in the face. The potential for solving problems with words, science, or stealth, is much reduced, which is a huge shame since those were great parts of the previous Fallout games. A pacifist run is almost impossible.
The character system, which is one of my favourite things about the series, is also massively reduced, removing all skills and leaving just the special stats and perks. With the lack of skills and a level cap, there is no thought to building a character, and they eventually become the same near identical superhuman at high levels.
It is very pretty for certain, and the shooting can be fun, just don't go in expecting anything like the previous Fallout games.

Pretty much a vital addition to the experience

It's not without its flaws, but few games have this kind of scope, style, and dedication to a genre. Comparisons with GTA are a little unfair, L.A. Noire is a much more subdued and thoughtful experience. Your deduction skills will be tested as much as your driving and shooting.

Incredible! It's like Mega Man + Castlevania + Dark Souls. Very challenging and a lot deeper than it looks.

A generally terrible PC port mars an otherwise excellent game. Doesn't have gamepad support, bad textures even on high settings, bad FPS when bullets are flying, screentearing all over the place, you have to deal with EA and all their garbage if you want the DLC packs. If you've already played it on a different console, give this a miss.
