“Superbus Via Inscientiae”

1. Introduction

This is a Singleplayer custom map to Black Mesa.

Gordon finds himself in the questionable territories of the Biodome Complex, but his goal of escaping Black Mesa remain the same.

2. How to Play

Open up the developer’s console in the main menu, then enter the following commands consecutively to play:

snd_restart map bm_c2a4x

Please enter snd_restart at the main menu, before entering the map. Otherwise, the custom sound files will bug out and fail to play.

Or, after inputting the console command snd_restart in the main menu, you can select the item: 「“Superbus Via Inscientiae”」 from the Workshop subscription list in–game.

For me personally there were too many weapons and health regen. It is sad, I really think the map had many great concepts! I just didnt feel any need to watch my resources, because there were simply sooo many.

Nice work!! I love that there are many enemies but also plenty of supplies and guns, so I can enjoy challenging & fun combats! Map visual & music are also nice-

i even got a too many indices crash cause the enemy spam

this is unplayable with weapon rebalance mods cause the HECU spam

This map just sucks, the balancing on it is really bad and the areas that people need to go down isn't clear. It looks visually very good but it plays awfully

Weird slogan for a research unit. It translates into "Arrogance trough Ignorance" or "The proud way of ignorance." I guess what they're trying to say is that science eventually prevails over faulty assumptions or that they acknowledge they're ignorant and science can only progress by making mistakes, but really makes it sound like being ignorant and arrogant is something one should strive for.

Thank you for the information. It's a shame that track wasn't used elsewhere, it's a beautiful piece of music. It really fits the feel of the Black Mesa incident. I liked the other track that was used in the battle with your team vs the HECU.

Overall the mod is amazing! I really enjoy having teammates help you fight the enemies. I wish they could have stuck with you until the end though but otherwise the mod is Great!

Also the turret guns being friendly was a great idea!

Hi. Unfortunately, if I remember correctly, I don't think that music piece has a specific name. I am pretty certain Joel Nielson, the composer of most of BM's original soundtrack had created that music. That music is most likely an untitled work that he had created a very long time ago, that I don't think it's available anywhere any longer.

What is the name of the soundtrack that plays at the beginning? It's really cool! It starts right after
you kill the first two HECU soldiers and the "Gordon, all science personnel will be terminated until you surrender" announcement starts.
