Description
WORKS AFTER NORSCA UPDATE!

Hello there! Had to redo these mods because could't upload the old ones when the Norsca update came out. This mod are for those who prefer shorter version of the faction names, yet still have somewhat deeper lore meaning in them.



Original vanilla game example:
The Empire

Short version mod example:
Reikland
--Confederating: The Empire

Long version mod example:
Grand Principality of Reikland
--Confederating: The Empire

COMPATABILITY:
The mod manager will say the mod is made in an outdated version. But it will still work perfectly fine.Also, the mod should be compatible with any mod that doesn't change the 'cultures_subcultures' and 'faction' files.

If you're still keeping an eye on this mod, I was curious how you did this, as I was wanting to do something similar for my own games (not looking to upstage you or anything.)

There can be. Same like there can be two of all the other too. That's sadly an unavoidable thing. As confederation names can only be set after culture. Not per individual faction.

I see. Haven`t seen two confederations of same culture before. I hope there won`t be two Empires.

I would like to ask to change some faction names.

Norsca - Worldwalker

Vampire Counts confederation - Vampire Counts (since Carsteins is separate faction and VC includes non-Carstein vampires too. Also you can be in confederation with Mousillon)

Greenskins - Da Immortulz
Crooked Moon - Crooked Moon Tribe
The Bloody Handz - Bloody Hand Tribe
Confederation: Greenskins (for all Greenskin factions aka no Green Tide)

Beastmen - Menfall Herd
Beastmen confederation (if exist) - Beastmen

and return old names for factions below.

Undead - Undead

Kislev - Kislev

Crooked Moon Mutinous Gits < Crookhoodz
Hellspire < Hastlings
Vanaheimlings < Kvelings
Nagilfari < Wyrmkin
Goromandry < Snaegr

As far as I know, there's no way to make one name mod that involves two or more languages. So a seperate mod per language are needed :)

Thanks for your reply! I was thinking to make the changes just for myself (and perhaps for friends if they are interested in). A rerelease was not my idea so far. If the mod detects the game version perhaps we can work on some kind of German localization.

@Herzog: I'll happily help you out! Do you mean you want to make your own German version, or to reedit my mod files to fit yours or what? :)

That being said, the actual process of making name mod are easy to do. Takes a bit of time, but the actual work, easy.

Hello Moneybear, I'm new to Warhammer mods so perhaps it's a dumb question. Is it easily possible to modify the faction names the mod changes? I play the German version and obviously not all faction names are the same as on the English version so I'd like to change the names to German where is it needed to avoid a mix between English and German in the game. Thank you!
