Description
OBO, pronounced "oboe" (yes, like the instrument), stands for "Overall Balance Overhaul."

This is a script that upgrades the Uzi SMG. In L4D2, SMGs are straight-up weaker than ARs in virtually every aspect, and I saw an opportunity to expand the viable arsenal. SMGs should be a different class and fill a different role compared to the ARs, and that's what this mod does. No longer will the SMG be considered a lowly Tier 1 weapon, discarded at the first opportunity for an upgrade!

The aim here is to have the SMG remain less accurate than ARs and with less sustainability, but to highlight mobility and DPS. The SMG may not be able to match an AR's maximum accuracy, but will be more accurate when on the move. Lighter and more mobile, weaker per bullet but with slightly higher DPS.

I also changed its ammo type to Assault Rifle ammo, to allow the gun to gib zombies like Assault Rifles do. The only downside to this is that if you're not using a gamemode mod that changes total reserve ammo (like my Dead World mod, see the above collection), the SMG now has 360 reserve ammo instead of 650, which might be a bit too low. Still, I felt it was worth it for L4D2's top notch gore system.

Overall, this mod simply gives you more options and variety in your arsenal. More choices, more optionss, more opportunity for team builds, more fun. I hope you enjoy.

Yeah i think you may be right there... but still its pretty good that most of the Upgrades do work properly

Yeah, maybe that means it's SETting the ammo reserve instead of UPping it?

The only thing that doesn't work properly is the Ammo Reserves... when you get the Increased Ammo Reserve Upgrade.... You end up having a lower ammo reserve instead

Speaking of Plugins i used one that Restored the Cut Upgrade system from L4D1's beta and im kinda suprised on how well it all works with your scripts... Like the Extended Clip Upgrade Stacks with your scripts... was not expecting them to stack

Nah it was a server plugin... i use Source mod and Metamod and host my own servers... Makes the Defib completely useless though

You should of seen what it did when you friendly fire kill a survivor with Ragdolls enabled Zoey flew good :)

How confused my friend looked when he killed himself with frag rounds on his Pump Shotgun. We thought it was a bug on his end or something! xD
