Description
==[XCOM 2 PSI OVERHAUL: PSION WITHIN]==
Bringing back psions, XCOM 1 style. No longer do you train psionic operatives as test tube rookies - upon building a psi lab (or visiting a built psi lab for the first time after this mod is installed), any of your operatives can test positive for psionic potential and learn psionic abilities.

Are you ready for a chain-grappling Skirmisher that can hurl Null Lances? Does your blademaster want to dominate a Berserker to fight alongside him? Why not add Void Rift to your GREMLIN-user's skill rotations?

ATTENTION: For those of you who are using my classless mod, this is already incorporated!

[HOW THIS WORKS]
- Play normally, leveling up your operatives through missions.
- Some of your operatives will be revealed to be secretly psionically gifted!
- Throw them in the psi lab and they'll become psions.
- Learn psionic abilities alongside regular leveling!
- ???
- Profit!

[IMPORTANT NOTICES]
- Here's how it works: Whenever you enter the Psi Lab, the game will check if each of your units have rolled to become a psion yet. If they haven't, they get to roll the roulette! To be eligible, you have to at least be a squaddie.
- Every time you rank up as a psion, you'll get randomized amounts of psi. To rank up as a psion, you also need to have the requisite soldier rank, so don't forget to keep sending them out on missions!
- Psions replace base game Psi Operatives, as the Psi Lab has been completely repurposed. They are not strictly better per se, as they can only learn a limited number of psi skills, but those skills are added on top of your existing trooper rather than a nameless rookie.
- Psions do not use Psi Amps so no real need to research higher tier psi amps at the moment. Psi skills scale off your psi stat - as it increases, your psi attacks will do more damage. On average, a fully ranked Psion will be a bit stronger than a maxed Psi Operative in terms of damaging psi powers.
- This uses default game configured Psi-training times - head to XComLatentPsionics.ini to configure everything else

[COMPATIBILITY]
- OVERRIDES: XCom_HeadquartersPsiTraining. So Psi Lab will likely be broken if you remove this mid-campaign.
- BYE-BYE: Psi Operatives. Can no longer be trained or created, check your character pools if you use the force my class mod.
- REQUIREMENT: Detailed Soldier Lists. Technically not required actually, but psi stat is otherwise not viewable on the main armory roster list.
- INCOMPATIBLE: Kv's Invisible Psi Amps. Which is really strange to me considering that I'm literally giving everyone a psi amp, and using the fact that the game doesn't render the psi amp I gave them to... give invisible psi amps to people.
- This will work with any class, any weapons, any whatevers. People using custom psionic classes - as long as the custom class doesn't require training in the psi lab, this should peacefully coexist alongside such classes.

[11/15 UPDATE]
- Rookies can also be psionic, and a Psi Lab is no longer required to see who has psionic potential
- Untrained Psions can gain access to Soulfire through a provided utility-item psi amp, other psi amps are unchanged
- Note: the above function requires the Community Highlander to work!
- Added the console command UpdateUtilityPsiArms if the above isn't done automatically
- More configuration options - specifically, the ability to define psionic ability trees for individual classes.

Don;t install. It makes all weapons appear on loadout screen. And when selecting any weapon, they don;t change. Or if they do, it's to a weapon you haven't selected.

after use this mod my weapon loadout now have issue , my soldiers now can select any type of weapon like reaper's rifle and yeah it's not working just exit the loadout menu and i can still choose correct weapons but my previous weapon will disapper and gone sorry for my eng but i really have problem

It's not compatible with old saves, please do not update in the middle of a campaign! This version will remain up on the workshop for old campaigns (and because it works without the highlander), but is no longer supported.

Since I use RPGO using this mod is a little redundant with some of the custom classes already having psi abilities. The one thing I wish I could get from this is a Psi Lab that increases just the psi stat by a random amount each time you put a soldier in. That way I don't have to dump points into the stats with RPGO, but I could still have classes that use their own ability tree skills.

Kinda, the Psi Lab is modified, but the template won't change until you destroy/rebuild the Psi Lab (or use console commands to do the same). However, if you do so, any existing Psi Ops won't be able to train any further. I don't recommend installing this mid-game.

If i place this in a Campaign with a psi op is this mod gonna break it?

I love this mod. I set the percentage chance for regular soldiers to 5 percent and wound up with three operatives in about 50 soldiers. I like the PSI operatives to be rare. One issue. My psi operatives can not use the PCS chips that raise psi offensive ability.

I just started a new campaign with this mod, and it shows on the rookie list who are psionically gifted. It has that psiosic icon next to some of the soldiers. I thought you had to put them later on in the Psi lab too see if they are gifted?

Yes, works perfectly with RPG Overhaul.
The abiliies are hidden under button Psion abilities in the soldier menu. Thus, those are separated fro RPG ability list.
