My direct replacement to the Acari:

Takes less resources in most categories, and has a full med bay!

New light CV, inspired as a slightly larger version of this one:

@Tech2014 that's a game feature, not the ship's fault.
Tech2014 23 Dec, 2017 @ 10:05am
The rooms are air-tight and there's no one or nothing on board to consume the O2 so why does the ship remove the O2 from all the rooms when power is off? That would be an extremely inefficient way to conserve energy or O2; it does not make any since.
Echo 22 Dec, 2017 @ 8:57pm
O2 thing is because when the ship is off, there is no power to replenish the supply of O2, and each room has a set ammount of O2 required to fill, so it costs a lot of O2 to re-fill those rooms after the ship losing power which removes the O2 from those rooms.

That's pretty clever

To bring along a mining hv, just put a ramp on back, the one that goes down 3 cv blocks height. Attach it at engine level. Makes it a breeze to dock an HV on the roof. The design is inexpensive and works great to do your early CV warping to get to planets with Erestrum and Zacosium.

Yea, The O2 thing I don't understand either. I have noticed that the majority of the depleation comes from turning the O2 Ventilator off and on again, while power is still on, consumes ~ a third of the current O2 level. Why I dont know. :(

I have made some signals/triggers (control panel) to get the power levels down to 1% while i'm not on board and this helps alot.

All-in-All it's a great ship thanks for posting her BP. :)

The O2 thing still confuses me a little. Generally I keep the ship on all the time, so long as its landed. It uses very little power if you're not on board (sensors turn some things off). It's small enough that O2 doesn't burn off very quickly.

She's definitely a starter vessel, but the small size makes it cheap to upgrade with better materials. I upgrade it every time I get my hands on some sathium, starting with the windows and front first. There's even enough room to throw in larger thrusters, though I rarely do this as I like the low power consumption.

Maybe one day I'll do a premium/end game version.

This is a great CV starter craft it's slow, cheap and easy to learn. I highly recommend upgrading the hull to Combat Steel as soon as possible. I got cut down like butter when I accidently came in contact with an alien transport on Skillon.

Okay I have confirmed that there are no leaks in this vehicle regardless of the warning given by the vehicle when you shut main power off ("Decompressing Arcari Light VC 7! Oxygen will be removed.").

I conducted two experiments one on the planet of Akua and another on the Moon of Akua and both results are the same.

Exp 1 - a) Main power off. b) O2 & Ventilator on. Waited 2hr real time with no O2 loss.

Exp 2 - a) Main power off. b) O2 & Ventilator on. Waited 2hr real time with no O2 loss.
Tech2014 8 Nov, 2017 @ 10:46pm
Okay that's good to know. I have filled the tanks to maximum (100%). What does it mean when an alarm sounds and a message is displayed "Decompressing Arcari Light VC 7 Oxygen will be removed." every time I turn ships power off? Other vehicles I have do not do this and the ones that do tend to have issues with maintaining O2 levels. So when I return a day later the vehicle is completely depleted of O2 but others that do not have this message alarm still have the exact levels at the time they where turned off?

Thanks everyone!

@Tech2014 There's a minimum amount of O2 you have to have in the tanks before you can turn on oxygen. On this ship, it's 297, or about 17%. The larger the ship/rooms, the more O2 that's required upfront.

Otherwise, I double checked and she isn't leaking!
Tech2014 8 Nov, 2017 @ 1:43pm
Like the ship but have you any idea what makes it leak O2? I've tried everything even gutted the entire ship to find the leak but can not locate the O2 leaking.

Fantastic little ship!
Sanbo 6 Nov, 2017 @ 9:16pm
Love the ship I was messing around with it a bit. I didnt want to make it public without your permission. I added a HV bay that will fit a Ladybug or a Rockhound. Send me a friend request and Ill share it with you to see if you want to use it.

UFO!

What a great simple ship. Need a put put about or brand new and want simple easy, this is perfect
iYRe 5 Nov, 2017 @ 11:48am
actually, its pretty easy to get neo. Raid some POI and stick any components you find in the factory. Or get a cheap warp SV (ez-warp sv is a good cheap one) and pop over from akua to skillon and grab some neo. Whats worse is my fav CV, which was 50k iron and 20 sath, is now 3k es, 5k zas, and 50k sath (and 20k iron). It requires rethinking how you play and what ships you need/use

Nice little CV, good work mate.
ei8htx  [author] 3 Nov, 2017 @ 5:43pm
As an example, the EarthShine 7.0 (currently on the front page) takes 4735 neo. It's definitely strange for those of us who've been around long before 7.0.

Thanks guys!

In 7.0 they re-did the neo calculations. Before it took 28 neo, now it's in the hundreds. What I can say, though, is that if you go with one of the other larger designs, your neo requirement will be in the thousands.

It's definitely a bit of work, though mining now is a bit easier with the voxel rock approach; one rock gets you quite a bit. Getting this CV up and running and putting a mining laser on it will help collect the thousands or tens of thousands needed for a larger CV down the road.

i love it too but at lvl 10 you cant get 800 neodymion :( so its not a trunly lvl 10 cv its more an lvl 20 or 25 cv
Thorth 3 Nov, 2017 @ 5:59am
Brilliant little CV, thank you for sharing your work :)
