Pollux V2 Class Ship (Survey)

The Pollux V2 hull is an entirely new design, created to fulfil the needs of long range survey teams. The new hull features multiple hangars and docking points with numerous auxiliary craft to help the craft fulfil it's duty to survey resource points, planets, moons and wrecks. The Pollux V2 is much more heavily armed then it's successor, however most of these weapons are towards the aft to project the engines and bridge. The Engines of the Pollux V2 have been redesigned to provide an exceptional amount of thrust, storing most of it's hydrogen fuel in its nacelles.

While designed to be operated by a small crew, the Pollux V2 is well equipped with additional hangar space and cryo chambers to facilitate a larger crew.

The Pollux is not rated for use on planets! However, it can operate on low gravity moons - though it is not equipped with Landing Gear.


Usage notes regarding Auxiliary Craft.

- The 2x Heket Class Utility Craft (Drill), are primarily intended to ensure the Pollux V2 is constantly supplied with ice, while also collecting ores.
- The Pollux V2 is also equipped with a Heket Class Utility Craft (Cargo) and Heket Class Utility Craft (Tug) in additon to 2x Dione Class Inspection Shuttle.
- To complete the complement of auxiliary craft, the Pollux V2 is fitted with 1x Opis Class Utility Drone (Grinder) and 1x Opis Class Utility Drone (Welder)


Layout
===================
- Entering from the Fore Air Lock is the Forward compartment. This has access to the Port, Starboard and Dorsal Air Locks. There is also access to the Port and Starboard Hangar Passages. Up the Stairs is access to the Machine Room
-- The Port and Starboard Hangar Passages have vertical access to each of the Hangars.
-- Hangar 1 is the forward most Hangar.
- The Machine Room has the refineries, assemblers and main oxygen tanks in addition to 24x Cryo Chambers. The Aft of this room has access to the Port and Starboard Hangar Passages.
- Aft of the Machine Room is a Crew Area split across two levels, the uppper level has the medical room.
- The Crew Area has vertical access to the Bridge.
- Aft of the Bridge is the Aft Air Lock leading to the Aft Landing Pad
